The Rules Shall Stay, so Obey Them or Pay | Stardrop Selection

The carriage doors slide open and seven people exit independently. 

The flickering railroad lights posted at both ends pause, as if dragging out the results.

One moment.

Another.

And…

An orange signal light flashes on.

“Seven successes and no failures. Both teams now have three points. Team Equinox was in the lead for a bit, but now it could be anyone’s game. Whichever team takes the next point will win their right to return back to their normal lives.”

“And before we forget, this week will be a biiiit special. You’ll have unlimited AP to do things with; however, you have to make a choice between either only using the informant services or only using it on things outside of Milky Way Station. You might want to figure that out, especially if you’re teamed up with others. Good luuuuck.”

Gio’s voice calls out to you once more as you feel your consciousness start to fade.

“I recommend you use this time to sort out your affairs.”

While Nella snoozes away, Gio brings an end to the discussion.

“The team of of Libra, Gemini, Capricorn, Pisces, Virgo, Aquarius, and Sagittarius has been approved unanimously. You are not in danger here, but do remember to keep your hands to yourself, just in case.”

The all too familiar inky tendrils shoot out and grab your seven companions before dragging them away to carriage. The doors slam shut and you are left only with silence as you wait for everyone to make their decisions.

As if on cue, Nella stirs from her slumber.

“Voting time...? Oh, that’s right. You all still need to turn those in. Well, the team selection for this mission is Libra, Gemini, Capricorn, Pisces, Virgo, Aquarius, and Sagittarius. Remember, two fails are required to fail a mission, but for noooow? Let’s focus on the teams. Everyone must vote on whether they want this team for the mission.”

Weak Claims, Weak Person | Pisces | re: Aries

After Aries finishes talking, Pisces clicks her tongue. Once. Twice. When she finally deigns to speak, she gathers everyone's attention to her with a clap. "Truly, is this how you wish to play your hand? Claiming you took a risk, when there were no consequences? I believe it was made clear that Solstice members could NOT vote for Equinox. Your 'risk' was nothing of the sort." Pisces stamps her foot. "And what of your rebuttal to my claims? Not a single fact or relevant piece of information. Just useless prattling about your own faults and a blanket dismissal of my points without giving any of them any thought. You're wondering what you and Leo did to become distrusted? Me, Gemini, Libra, Aquarius, even, We all gave explanations for what we did what we did and facts that backed our assertions. Clear logical information. It could be lies, it could be true, but we explained our claims." 

Pisces scoffs at Aries. "What about you? I'm wrong about you because... I don't know what I'm doing? A claim based on no information you wish to give to us. Just a simple claim stating you think I'm incompetent and nothing else? A personal deduction about who's in Equinox that you refuse to share with your own team? And you wonder why we distrust you. I've made my accusations and the reasons behind them. You and Leo. Believe me or don't, I've given out names and explained my reasoning. What do you do? Claim that we all don't know what we're doing, and throw out a mention of Equinox member with no name or evidence behind it. Making us distrust each other without any solid evidence to back your claims up."  

Pisces turns to everyone else, and spread her arms out. "That sure sounds like what an Equinox member would do, wouldn't it?" She folds her arms, glares at Aries and steps back.

Aries wasn't sure about Pisces methods, but if it made everyone trust Virgo again then good! Good for her! What wasn't good was being accused of being an Equinox member. It hurt their feelings and it also... made them pretty pissed off, actually!

"I can't believe this... You really believe I'm an Equinox member? How could I be when I was the first one to come to Virgo's defense? I checked out if what she was saying was true, and shared that all with you. I took a chance to find the truth. Did any of you dare to try that? Aside from Libra, of course, but."

They scoff and cross their arms, shaking their head. Seeing Virgo also show doubt in them makes it all even worse.

"Honestly I don't really know what you're seeing in my actions that are 'suspicious'. I can't help not thinking through things entirely because I'm a young fool, but I guess I can take that as a compliment. Wish I knew what I was doing half the time...!"

Aries lets out a pained laugh and runs a hand through their hair. Opening their mouth to say something, but deciding not to since that could seal their fate. They're quiet for a moment and lower their head.

"Fine. Fine! Go with whatever group then. Since you doubt me, of all people, then it's obvious none of you know what you're doing. If anything, I guess I can get an answer to my personal deductions then, since I'm pretty sure you have an Equinox member on that team."

They shrug.

"But what do I know? Maybe they'll prove me wrong and get a win for the Solstice team. I'd like that. That's my team, after all."

Petty. It's a big claim that they've got their gut instinct and observations to thank for, but they doubt that it would change anyone's minds. They'll just stand back and agree. See if they're right and withdrawal from this dance they're all playing.

Never Too Sure | Pisces | re: Scorpio, Libra

Pisces considers Scorpio's words carefully before responding. "I would like to believe you. I truly would. However, since our lives are on the line, I'm afraid that I would rather trust your actions over your words. Despite your intentions, Aquarius showed up to defend Virgo, not you." She shakes her head sadly. “Libra. Virgo. Myself. Gemini. Capricorn. Sagittarius. Aquarius. Those are who I would prefer to go on this mission." She leans back. "Although not my first choice, I will accept the team suggested by Aquarius as well. Like Gemini said, we require two to fail this mission." "Also to clarify, I never meant to suggest that the amount of AP spent correlates to your trustworthiness. Those who have spent 1 AP are just as suspicious as those who have spent all of their AP. The distinction comes for those who have spent 0 AP. Announcements that are not about a single player cannot be lies. Therefore, all Equinox members have spent at least 1 AP. Those who have spent 0 AP like Virgo, here, are guaranteed to be Solstice. Although someone may not be able to prove that they spent 0 AP, I don't think any member of Equinox is willing to claim they've spent 0 AP either. All it takes is one instance of them spending AP pointed out by another player, and their entire identity would be exposed. The only people willing to claim they've spent 0 AP are those who are either telling the truth, or have maintained an iron alibi the entire game. And since this information was recent, Equinox members would have no reason to hide instances of them spending AP prior to this week." 

She turns to Libra. "That is all I have to say. I believe it is your turn to act, team leader." She then gestures to everyone else. "Unless someone else would like to speak?"
