As someone who has a tooth gap and is overweight, I just wanna say that it makes me so unbelievably happy to see so many people think of and portray Taako with one or both of those qualities. And everyone still agrees that he's this beautiful elf even with those things and like?? Thank you, taz fandom for making me more confident in my looks because of this?? Seriously thank you all so much.

chubby!Taako thoughts headcanon, it’s my headcanon now under the cut

i don’t typically imagine Taako as skinny (he’s a cook yall), but it just occurred to me how great it would be if he’s skinny when the story starts - if he’s skinny and it’s not healthy, skinny and it’s meant to show how guilty and lonely and stressed he feels, how anxious he is about something he used to love which is also something he needs to live – and then he starts putting on weight gradually after he gets with Magnus and Merle and the BoB. not a whole lot, but a little. imagine that as an indication that his indifference is an act and he does actually care about these dorks and they care for him. then after Refuge, he starts putting it on a little quicker now that he’s free of that lie and he can trust himself a little more. But then when we see him in the stolen century memories, he’s fatter than we’ve ever seen him up to that point, and obviously as healthy and happy as anyone could be under those circumstances. I’m imagining how this would look, the contrast between chubby!Taako in the stolen century memories with his sister and the rest of his family around him, and how thin he’d be in here there be gerblins, what that would tell you about what happened to him in the intervening time when he was on his own, how during the finale he’d still be smaller than he once was and how this would coordinate with his character development and leveling up. how neat and awesome would it be to show a person who is both skinny and obviously not doing well, and whose happiness and health and strength and quality of life increases with their weight. and then when we see him in the future at Carey and Killian’s wedding, he’d be fatter than he was in stolen century even – chubby and gorgeous and glowing. gods that’d be good.
