My life has come to a complete standstill because I can't move on until I know more about Lucius's chub rub.
The day Lucius’ son-in-law cheerfully presented him with a second-hand pair of cycling shorts was both the best and worst day of Lucius’ life.An early morning fly with the boys always put Lucius in a good mood but by the time Narcissa called them in for breakfast his legs were starting to prickle. The heat worsened as they put away the brooms, sending small shocks of irritation down the inside of his thighs. A surreptitious cooling charm did little to ease the sensation and by the time they reached the house Lucius was inwardly cursing whatever Malfoy-elder decided to locate the broom shed so far from the Manor.Narcissa had arranged for them dine on the sun terrace, denying Lucius the opportunity to soak his thighs before breakfast. Gritting his teeth he tried to focus on the morning sun slowly warming his face, the soft crunch of a perfectly baked croissant, and the bitter sweetness of the coffee. But it was no use. Even now, surrounded by his family and free to indulge in life’s small, simple pleasures, Lucius was in hell.Wincing, he attempted to tuck his robe between his thighs. Only to be interrupted by Harry’s quiet request for “a word with you, Lucius.” The walk to his study was agony, made no easier by Harry’s mindless chatter about some Muggle fabric called Lycra and the soothing power of Aloe Vera Gel.On the terrace, Draco, Narcissa and Scorpius exchanged apprehensive glances. Lucius’ temper had cooled over the years but his relationship with Harry still resembled an uneasy truce. The Malfoy patriarch had clearly been struggling with the bleak moods that dogged his post-Azkaban life and was it, Draco tentatively asked, worth checking on how he and Harry were getting on?They were still debating the best course of action when Lucius and Harry returned to the table. Harry was maybe a little pink about the ears, hastily shoving a half-open cycle pannier under the table – but the change in Lucius was far more marked. Gone was the filthy scowl that he left the table with and in it’s place was a broad grin for Draco, a pat on the back for Scorpius, a rather pointed look for Harry, and a wink for Narcissa.Inspired by my Fat Hogwarts Headcanons.
