One of my idols Varg Vikernes from one-man band Burzum🤘 15 years on prison for Church arson and one murder
Notre Dame has incredible historic and cultural significance well beyond race or religion. Construction began nearly 900 YEARS ago in 1163. It wouldn't be open for another 182 years in 1345. The great grandchildren of people who started building it may not have lived to see it open; that's how long it took. The quality craftsmanship in each stone back then was paramount, and restoration projects since have taken great pains to mimic that classic, nearly extinct, construction style. With modern technology, a standard building can be thrown together quite quickly in comparison. A few weeks, maybe months. Sometimes even a single day for smaller structures. What was destroyed was not a Catholic building. It was not a "white people" structure. It was a piece of art and anthropology from a millennium ago. Yes, there were other buildings destroyed recently (black churches burnt by an arsonist with a clearly racial agenda), and yes, indigenous people have had their everything destroyed. But for heaven's sake, one tragedy has never negated another. Instead of getting on people's cases for being sad about Notre Dame, acknowledge it as a shared experience of loss. Respect the mourning of those more deeply affected. There is room to mourn it all. But we mustn't stay in mourning. Loss is an intrinsic part of life, and dwelling on it keeps us from moving forward, learning, and improving. However, it hasn't even been a full day since Notre Dame, and I am already seeing so much lashing out from people with good intentions who are failing to see the callousness of their words and actions. Let the mourners mourn. Let people feel their sadness. When the smoke has cleared and we begin to move forward, rebuilding and adding to the history of the historic site, then we can prod and ask why other destructions did not warrant such tremendous emotional and financial outpourings. We can demand greater funds and efforts be put toward preserving and restoring things and buildings of cultural and historical significance. But for just a damn day or 2, please take a breath while the embers still glow. TL;DR -- Chill the fuck out with the whole, "Why didn't you get this upset/give this much money when such and such was destroyed?!" shit for at least a few days, folks. People can be sad for both/all of it.

You won’t know about it if you rely on the mainstream media, but Christians throughout Europe are experiencing anti-Christian hate crimes at an alarming rate. Print media has rightly been filled with pages on the Orwellian raid by police on journalist Allison Pearson for an unspecified ‘non-crime hate incident’. Meanwhile it goes unreported that throughout Europe Christians are being harassed,…

THE ACCEPTABLE PREJUDICE

Don’t Mention The … This is the acceptable bigotry rarely addressed in the West. Marches are held in European cities to protest against Islamophobia and anti-Semitism, week by week tens of thousands march through our cities…

Mississippi Church Burned to the Ground For Fighting City’s Orders
Holly Springs, MS – A Mississippi church was burned to the ground early Wednesday morning. The First Pentecostal Church of Holly Springs was vandalized and an explosion set off in the back of the church blew out the front.
