first impressions. | ava&freya

The Palace Bar has only recently become one of Ava’s favourite places for a casual meeting over drinks. She’s invited many a people here before and it continues to be her go to when first impressions count. Today was no different; she had to impress, charm and get her way when all is said and done. Ava greeted the hostess with a nod and a smile. “Good evening Jocelyn. You’re practically glowing today. Share your secret with me, won’t you? ” she laughed, walking past, tossing the compliment as she always did. The other woman blushed, as she always did. Heels clicking, Ava made her way towards the bar and ordered a  margarita. It wasn’t long before she noticed the blonde walk in. After all, that dress drew attention. Ava managed to lock eyes with Freya and lifted a hand in a small wave, indicating it is her she’s looking for. “You must be Freya. My name is Ava. I must say the red dress is hard to miss. It’s beautiful. Please, would you like anything to drink?”

“Oh, sorry. I didn’t know anyone was in here.” Sera had just walked into what she thought would have been an empty room. She was at this house party thrown by a friend of a friend of a friend, and was quickly growing bored and wanted to find a quiet place to relax for a while. “I’ll get out of your way,” she told the stranger before starting to turn away.
