hello! you know what? it's kind of like that some days. depending on the request. probably not so much with a magnifying glass, but we do have one, just in case.
basically, an archivist it's a specialized librarian. dealing with documents and personnel files. the main thing i do is organize and maintain the overall collection. which doesn't sound super interesting, but to me it's like working on a puzzle or tetris. i enjoy a good puzzle.
another layer to my job is that i specialized even further in religious archives. i'm not super religious myself, but unlike a museum archives or corporate archives, it's far more calmer and you don't have to rush to do anything. you set up your own projects and pace. and if i don't wanna work super hard or stress myself, then I will work on something lighter. or read documents...
i stress myself out any ways... but that’s not the point.
