|| Get to know PERI WINTERS who’s TWENTY years old and a SOPHOMORE in college majoring in EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION. She is from CORONA and is oftentimes mistaken for OLIVIA HOLT while others say she reminds them of PERIWINKLE from DISNEY FAIRIES. ||
BASICS
Peri was adopted as a baby by an elderly librarian, Dewey Winters. Being his only family, the two were absolutely inseparable. Peri often spent her days being taught by her father and spending time in his library, learning more by reading his books.
Since she was homeschooled all the way up to college, Peri was generally friends with the children of the library regulars, eventually collecting a small group of close friends.
Peri discovered her powers when she was very young and technically, her father found them first when little snowflakes or frost appeared whenever she sneezed as a child.
While Peri generally kept her powers hidden, her father was absolutely fascinated with it and fully supported his daughter for who she was. They would often have little “training sessions” to see exactly how much power Peri had. While she felt a bit isolated from her friends with her frost powers, Peri knew she had a true supporter in her father.
Meeting Tink their freshman year of college was definitely a shocking experience. Finding out she had a twin she had never known about? Logically, Peri felt she should be angry at her father but soon found out he knew just as much as she did about Tink.
She was a bit overwhelmed at first, finding out she had a secret twin sister who also came with a rather large friend group ecstatic to meet her would likely overwhelm anyone who had grown up as shy as Peri. However, she really enjoys having people who care about her.
Peri is a fairly quiet and shy person. She doesn’t usually strike up conversations, unless necessary, and is generally a more laidback member of any conversations. But that isn’t to say she isn’t full of ideas! If someone is close enough, Peri will gladly talk on and on about something she’s passionate about.
While Peri is majoring in Early Childhood Education, she has plans to get a Masters in Library Science so she can work at the library with her father. Though, she definitely has plenty of experience doing little jobs.
Peri stays in touch with her father often. Even if he does live in Corona, she loves texting or calling him whenever she can. They often meet for coffee/tea/hot chocolate dates and Peri usually surprises him at his library when she isn’t busy.
FUN FACTS
Peri finds comfort in going to bookstores or libraries. Since she grew up with a librarian as a father, she often escapes to places surrounded with books for refuge.
Classical music is her jam. She has a playlist over four hours long that is just full of classical music. She plays it at night for bed or while she’s studying or even while she’s just walking around.
Her favorite time of day tends to be very early morning, pre-sunrise and sunrise time. There’s something special about the tinge of frost and the chill in the air. It’s not unusual to find Peri wandering around in the early morning with her classical playlist on.
Peppermint chocolate flavored nearly anything is Peri’s absolute favorite. Mint chocolate ice cream? Peppermint hot chocolate? Dark chocolate & mint candies? When the holiday season rolls around and all of that becomes more widely available, Peri makes sure to stock up.
While Tink is very bold and brash at times, Peri truly does love getting to spend time with her. It’s like trying to make up for lost time and the two contrasting forces are definitely a sight to be seen.
Peri struggles a bit with giving advice. She doesn’t want to see anyone as a horribly malicious human being, which is definitely a bit difficult with Tink very clearly stating her distaste for anyone she doesn’t like, but she’s also aware that not everyone is a good person, so it’s a bit hard for her.
Peri is a bit too over-trusting of people. This naïveté often leads her to getting close to usually not the Best kind of characters.
CONNECTIONS
Secret Twin Sister: Tink Bell! The girls met at their freshman orientation and well, it was pretty obvious there was something a bit too similar to The Parent Trap going on there. The girls worked together to unearth hospital records and discovered they were twins. The two now share an apartment together.

Childhood Friends: Peri grew up in Corona and especially in her father’s library, so any close childhood friends who may visited the library often as a child would be so great
Accidental Magic Buddies: Oh snap, one of us accidentally did our magic and the other caught us, but everything’s good because oh snap!! You’re magic too! I dunno, I think it would be fun.
