Brushing a stand of hair from my eyes, I inhaled deeply opening the heavy brown door, walking into the designated room for Introduction to Law 101. The first class of the next four years of my life. I was nervous, but excited.
Surveying the room, my eyes fell on the four other people in the room. Each one having the same idea as me, get here early, get a good seat. Allowing my eyes to fall on a fifth person, I felt my heart drop to my stomach. I honestly never wanted to see him again for as long as I lived.
There he was sitting in the middle of the room, his pencil tapping against his notebook on the desk, eyes trained on the window, taking in the passing world. One of his hands rested underneath his chin, completely lost in his thoughts.
Trying to sneak past him, I was too focus on him turning towards me that I accidentally knocked into a table in front of the class, the screeching noise bringing the attention of the few in the room towards me, including Cillian.
Blushing red, I kept my head down, making my way towards the back of the room taking the table on the opposite end to his, avoiding the stares from everyone, as I got comfortable.
Placing my bag on the floor, I pulled the notebook from my bag placing it on the desk along with a few pens, ready for note taking when the chair next to me pulled out.
Looking over at the person, I couldn’t believe their audacity. Feeling the anger bubbling in my chest. I met his beautiful blue eyes with a glare, silently questioning his decision to move across the room to join me.
“What the fuck are you doing here?” I quietly hissed, not wanting to attract the attention of the other people in the class.
“Hello to you too.” Cillian laughed, pushing his notebook onto the table, with an adorable smile. Looking over at me, a completely innocent look on his face. “I didn’t know you were going to study law?”
“Why are you here?” I repeated, ignoring his question completely. “I thought you wanted to travel the world become a famous musician or whatever, your not going to do that in here.”
“Wow, what’s with all the hostility?” He asked sensing the venom in my voice, his eyes widening - hands raising in mock defence towards me.
“Your joking? Tell me your joking?” I scoffed, rolling my eyes at his need to act dumb.
“What? Please enlighten me. I have no clue what is going on here?” He laughed uneasy, genuine confusion on his face.
“You pursued me and once you got what you wanted, I never hear from you again?”
“That’s what this is about?” Cillian laughed, a hand coming up to rub across his mouth, his thumb pushing his jaw out slightly. Pausing in consideration, the thoughts churned in his head before he turned to look at me. “I don’t know what you were expecting outta that Brie but, I was only after a fuck.”
“You pursued me, got into a fight for me what do you think I thought Cillian. I believed you wanted to get to know me.”
“You came to my gigs, I didn’t seek you out and I didn’t fight for you. I just don’t do the whole disrespect thing. That guy was a prick, I was just making sure he knew it.”
“It was all just about sex for you? Really?”
“Wasn’t it for you? You just got out of a relationship. Why would you want to jump into another one?” Cillian asked, an unsure, breathy laugh leaving his lips. “I gave you the fuck you needed, that’s all.”
“Fuck you Cillian, fuck you.”
“You already did.” He smirked, tongue poking out from the corner of his lips as he stared into my eyes, with the same mischief that once had butterflies erupt in my stomach, but now made me feel sick.
“And it was shit.”
“No it wasn’t. You were loving it, begging me for more.” Cillian countered back, eyes surveying the room which was quickly filling up with students. “Harder, Cillian…right there…ohh-“ He teased, low enough that only the two of us could hear.
“Shut the fuck up” I growled a little too loud. The blonde girl in front of me turning in her seat to glare at me at over her shoulder due to my language. “I was faking it.”
“Not what your eyes were saying.” He winked, tongue swiping along his plump bottom lip, the smirk continuing to grow on his face once he noticed my flustered expression. “Nor your body language right now.”
The fact of the matter was, Cillian knew his way around the female anatomy. He had pulled so many sounds from my mouth, made me feel so many things I didn’t even know was possible. I was on cloud 9 with his hands around my body, tongue in my mouth, cock in my core.
And as much as I hated myself for admitting it, I wanted him again.
“Look maybe I shouldn’t have just skipped out during the night…”
“Oh you think?” I snapped back, glaring at him, to which he responded by rolling his eyes at my interruption.
“Jesus if I thought you were going act like this I wouldn’t have bothered, pretty girl but a lot of issues…” He commented, using his hand to refer to my entire body before using two fingers to point at his temple.
My jaw fell wide at his words. Who the fuck does he think he is?
Clenching my jaw, I was about to respond when the professor came through the door, brief case in hand, calling the class to attention. Everyone in the room fell quiet, adjusting themselves in their seats waiting for the professor to speak once more.
Silently stewing in my emotions, I brought the tip of my pen into my mouth chewing on the end of it, trying my hardest to block out the constant glances Cillian was throwing my way.
Placing a hand on the side of my head to block him out, I tried to focus on the words coming from the professors mouth when a slip of paper slide over from Cillian’s side.
I didn’t mean that, I’m sorry – the black handwritten letters had spelled. Rolling my eyes, I chose to ignore the words, my fingers pushing the sheet of paper back in his direction.
Biting my lip I waited patiently, unable to focus on anything the professor was saying until he announced the mid-way break in the class. Being one of the first to my feet, I rushed out of the room making my way to the bathroom, effectively hiding inside.
Holding my hand in my hands, my thoughts wondered to actually dropping out of the course. I didn’t know if I could sit there day in, day out knowing Cillian was in the same class. Yes we would be in different rooms, have different teachers but could I really see myself sitting in a room with him for the next four years?
Psyching myself up I threw open the door of the ladies room, turning to walk back in the direction towards the class when Cillian appeared in front of me. Hands shoved deep in his pockets, a sheepish look on his face.
“For what it’s worth I am sorry.”
“So you’ve said.” I spat, side stepping around him.
“Look Brie, I am honestly. I’m sorry.” He breathed, stopping me from moving around him, placing his hands on my upper arms. Something about his eyes letting me know he was sincere. “I actually am happy to see you again.”
“I wish I could say the same.”
“I hurt you, I didn’t mean to. I honestly thought you knew that this was just a one time thing.” He sighed, dropping his hands from my arms and immediately I missed his touch.
“I really wish you would have said something before I let you into my bed but I shouldn’t have just assumed, I just thought you liked me.”
“I DO.” He yelled loudly with a breathy laugh. “I just don’t want a relationship right now. I can’t give it what it needs, the time, the care, the want…I am travelling with the band all over Ireland on weekends and the van is tight as fuck. I can’t be bringing a girl into that.”
“I understand.”
“Really?” Cillian questioned, eyebrow raised with scepticism. “You really are a beautiful girl, women even and you know your way around the bedroom, I’ll give you that but we are young, let’s not tie ourselves off just yet yeah?”
“Yeah” I nodded in agreement, still hurt by his actions but he was right. “Let’s just be young and have fun.”
We were young, I had the next four years to get everything I ever wanted to do out of my system before having to take things seriously, start a family, settle down.
“For what its worth I am sorry to.” I tell him folding my arms across my chest as we walked side by side back towards class.
“For what?”
“I told my friends some pretty harsh things about you and little Cillian...” I tried to control my grin as I bared my teeth to him, eyes glancing down at his cock. “And with them news travels fast.”
“Like what?” Cillian asked furrowing his eyebrows down over his eyes, his feet coming to a stop just before the classroom door. “Brie like what?”
