Michigan’s Favorite Fornicating Former Lawmakers Headed For The Big House, Maybe

After a torrid — or at least torpid — affair that led to the stupidest cover-up ever, it looks like the firm hand of Lady Justice is coming for Todd Courser and Cindy Gamrat, the outlaw lovers and Christian wingnut ex-legislators from Michigan. After investigating their extramarital shenanigans and subsequent conspiratorial tomfoolery, state Attorney General Bill Schuette announced Friday the licentious legislative lovebirds would be arrested on felony charges of misconduct in office, all stemming from their attempt to cover up the affair by spreading a false rumor that Courser cavorted with gay hookers while addicted to porn and drugs. It was unclear at press time whether either former legislator would also be given a big dope slap for being such big dopes.

Michigan Election Results

Last week we had a series of elections across the United States. The focus seemed to be on Ohio’s Marijuana bill, the Kentucky & Virginia races. 

The fascinating (or crazy bizarre) race was the one in Michigan. Former state Reps.Todd Courser and Cindy Gamrat were running for their old seats. 

For those who don’t know, Todd Courser resigned from his seat after his scandalous summer. He was the charming gentleman who wrote his own smear email proclaiming he was seen behind a Lansing nightclub having sex with another man. He was recorded discussing his strategy to release this fake scandal by his staff member. 

Totally sane people may ask, why would someone do this? Well, it was to cover up his real scandal which was that he was having an affair with none other than Cindy Gamrat. Which of course ended up backfiring on him big time and he was forced to resign and Cindy was expelled from her position.

Flashforward to last week when both  Courser and Gamrat ran again for their old seats! Luckily the people of Michigan said, no thanks! Cindy Gamrat lost to Mary Whiteford and Todd Courser lost to Gary Howell.

The bottom line is this, don’t have an affair with your colleague and then write a fake scandal to cover it up! Actually, the real moral is, don’t have an affair period. 

Gary Howell will run against Margaret Guerrero DeLuca and Mary Whiteford will face David Gernant.
