weirdly specific cinematic playlists

so recently my Monotonous and Time-Consuming Hobby To Calm Me Down has been making a shit ton of really specific playlists for certain moments in movies, and I thought it’s be fun to share them with tumblr. these playlists are only accessible by these links because I already have too many public playlists.

I’m mostly sharing this for fun, but if you have any suggestions for what music I could add to certain playlists, please let me know.

a hero emerges - the moment where the superhero uses their powers for the first time

a mystery unveiled - questions are asked, or the pieces start to fall into place

beautiful giants - we see beauty in the mighty and powerful

betrayal - our hero loses an ally and gains an enemy

fall from grace - we watch a good person walk into the darkness

folk tales - exposition in the form of mystical tales or bedtime stories

i don’t have a choice - fighting a battle that you know will only bring destruction or making a sacrifice for the people you love

lovers collide - star crossed lovers embrace their love for each other 

riding into battle - your army descends into the final battle with renewed hope

revolution in a dystopia - burning down a dictator

the gods descend - powerful forces rain down 

training montage - the hero tests their limits

we lost - devastation at the hands of the antagonist
