Maria and Consuelo, 1946
FAMILY CINEMA
The Aumonts are well-off. [...] They were supposed to be filming a movie about the life of Elizabeth of Austria in November, but the project didn't seem commercial enough in Hollywood. […] Jean-Pierre and Maria started looking for a script. But a script isn't easy to find when you need a female role with a Spanish accent and a male role with a French accent, with sex appeal and yet emotion. And above all, Technicolor. The white marble, however, was found.
The story takes place in New Orleans at the beginning of the 18th century. Jean-Pierre is a frigate captain and Maria is a Spanish dancer.
By the way, Consuelo, the sister —one of Maria's sisters— is making her screen debut. Her stage name is Julie André. Her first film not only landed her a contract but also a husband. She just got engaged to Kenny Carter, one of the advertising executives at her firm. Jean-Pierre just spent a month on the East Coast: New York, Westport, etc. … Triumphant success in "Design for Living" (Serenade for Three). He's been offered a winter run on Broadway.

Maria Montez's success probably kept her sister Consuelo up at night. Like her, she wanted to be in the movies. Consuelo made her studio debut alongside Maria in the Universal-International film, "The Pirates of Monterey."
Maria and Consuelo are very similar, though naturally Maria has much more experience than Consuelo. She guided her sister's first steps with a warm, smiling smile, showing her stage presence, how to dress, and even going so far as to demonstrate how to best present her legs in front of the camera. And naturally, Consuelo Montez, like Maria, has the most beautiful legs in the world. So let's eagerly await the arrival of this new rising star.

MARIA MONTEZ GIVES FAMILY SEX-APPEAL LESSONS
Brunette Consuelo Gracia is about to make her screen debut in a film titled "The Pirates of Monterey." Sex appeal runs in the family for Consuelo, as she is the sister of Maria Montez, wife of Jean-Pierre Aumont. Maria generously shares her experience with her sister regarding the art of showing off legs that are worth the effort. This photo suggests that Consuelo will be a good student. Good for her, for Maria Montez, and for Jean-Pierre Aumont, who is certainly pleased to have "settled" his charming sister-in-law. He only has half a dozen more to place!
