Inspiration from episode 1x08 Citydrop, Missing this trio <3
(History timeline!!)
So I need to look up some irl history for some of the other ones, but -
So I was actually thinking before - I wondered how the world wars went in this world, and then I was thinking that it actually felt like this world hadn’t had (at least a) WWII.
And oh wow it turns out they actually didn’t!
(I’d seen a post before that revealed that their WWI started earlier).
I wonder if the Hague (which here seems to be a witch :thing:) was made to like - deal with/because of the problems that in our world caused WWII?
Interesting to see that the Revolution was earlier (considerably). And the Civil War also (though not quite as much). And the Civil War also shorter. ...Wait a sec, I actually remember the Revolution one having just the one year, while other wars get a range... *checks*. Wow, yeah. So if that’s accurate it was way shorter. (Which would make a lot of sense if at that time only the future-US had a witch army).
...Also meanwhile come to think, the Chinese Civil War mentioned must be really world-important, because it’s the only other-country-specific thing on the timeline. (And we already know there’s something with China in this world - they’re not at the Hague and this was specifically brought attention to.)
And the Proxy Wars thing explains (or at least like, tells us something about) who all this fighting they’ve been mentioning has been with (I’ve been noticing that most of what they mention doesn’t seem to correspond to real world conflicts in our world). I do wonder who they’re with (since it doesn’t seem like it’s the USSR).
(Sidenote, this was a really cool way to give us a world building bit! (Like the museum was, come to think). Hoping for more of these!! (Also is there a compilation somewhere? I’d have missed the WWI pic if I hadn’t run into it by accident, and I don’t know if there’s more like that.)
i think libba is going to get killed by the spree. assuming the truck attack was something that causes the city drop mission to halt, she was still seen in the trailer doing the windstrike. Strange enough, tally cldnt windstrike the truck, she was the only one standing and i wonder why.
Yup. I think she either dies stopping the truck or after something/someone of what’s in the truck “spills out” and attacks them. Since they’re unprepared recruits, it’s very much likely someone dies and I think it’ll be one of the turning points that will define Anacostia & Alder’s relationship from that moment forward.
As for Tally being the one standing, when I first saw that scene in one of the promos, I thought it was Anacostia (I figured she was sending the girls to “charge” and she was maybe doing some protective stuff by standing still), but this post by @tomatoesarefruitstoo has me convinced it is Tally. I’m so curious to see what happens and why she refuses to attack! Maybe she’s seen something through her powers and knows it will not end well and, so, doesn’t want any part it in? I don’t know. But that’s such an interesting bit, I’m really looking forward to finding out.
