Frank didn’t care that he was physically about 10 now, he still had a job to do and he doubted that such a change would slow the criminals in the city down. As he went about his rounds he noticed that there were no adults in the city. Everyone he ran into appeared to be a child, he didn’t even see teenagers, just children.
It made doing his job more difficult. Everywhere he turned he saw Lisa in someone’s face or Frankie. Since he didn’t know which children were actually children and which ones were adults like him, it made hitting any of them impossible.
Which he didn’t realize until he tried to help someone. The kid he pulled off the other kid broke his nose before running away. It hadn’t hurt like that for many years. After getting it broken about a dozen times there was almost no ability to feel pain in that part of his face. Though by 10 he’d only had it broken twice, maybe 3 times.
He swore up a storm as he put a hand over his bleeding nose. Glad to see some kind of clinic he stumbled in hoping to find tape and some gauze or something to stop the bleeding.
