ClueFest Claims briefing, December 1st 2020:
Gather up you Aurors, Private Eyes, sleuths, and overly inquisitive neighbours!
Over the past few weeks, we’ve received reports of a number of mysteries and strange events (ranging from suspicious activity and vanishing furniture to skullduggery and murder) and its up to you to solve them.
Cases will be assigned on a first-come-first served basis, and we expect a full report of at least 1000 words, or some substantial visual or audio evidence, to be submitted by the 15th of February.
A quick reminder of the rules:
The fest is anonymous. Don’t tell anyone outside of your alpha/beta readers which prompt you’ve claimed.
Each prompt can be claimed once for fic and once for art. We'll send you an email once youce claimed confirming which prompt weve marked you down for - please check this is correct and drop us an email to confirm.
Collaborations are welcome — you can claim as a team/partnership.
Self-prompts are also welcome, you can submit these via the claiming form.
We also accept podfic of fics that fit the theme of the fest - there’s a form for that down below.
Claiming closes 1st of January 2021.
About your work:
The minimum wordcount for fic is 1000.
We haven’t set a maximum number of alpha/beta/cheerleaders but please be reasonable (more Famous Five or Scooby Gang than the entire Ministry of Magic)
If you’re requesting alpha/beta/cheerleaders in a public space (e.g. The Drarry Discord server) don’t include details that might give away which work is yours. We can post a request on your behalf if needed.
All fics must be beta read. If you have trouble finding a beta reader, let us know and we can ask around for you.
Works will be submitted to our AO3 collection. If you don’t have an AO3 account get in touch, we have a few invites available.
There’s no obligation to gift your fic/art to your prompter, but you can if you want to (but please don’t if your work includes things your prompter listed as a squick/trigger).
Need to drop out? That’s fine, just please let us know as soon as possible.
Need an extension? Get in touch, and let us know how long you think you need. We’ll see what we can do.
