Well, I hate to say 'I told you so.' You love to say 'I told you so.' Sweetie, don't talk that way to your mother. You know it only aggravates her. Oh, thank you, honey. That's so helpful.
I'm mad this show only got two seasons. I'm mad that I'll never know what it would've been like if Brian Fuller had stayed on and gotten the creative control he wanted for the show. I'm mad Betty was written off after five episodes. I'm mad that I'll probably never get to know what happened to her. I'm mad that George's dad was supposed to be gay but was instead written into "the middle aged professor who sleeps with students his daughter's age trope". And it probably goes without saying, but I'm mad that I'll never get to know how it was meant to end.
just saw the dad from dead like me on supernatural. what are you doing clancy? sleep with any coeds lately? joy does not approve
But here’s my point…when you’re suffering, and I mean you’re truly suffering, it’s the clichés that heal you. When I’m sad, give me George Jones or Willie Nelson. That’s the brilliance of [Shakespeare’s] sonnets - they state the obvious. Clichés are clichés because they are the things that have stuck to the wall. Our greatest arrogance is to believe that we are all special. Because the truth is, we are all unbelievably the same.

Dead Like Me Trivia: Clancy Lass
According to Bryan Fuller, it was originally planned that George's father would be gay, and this development would spell the end of Clancy and Joy's marriage. After Fuller left the show, the show's new executives decided that Clancy should be heterosexual, but philandering with his female students.
In case you didn't know: Bryan Fuller left early in the first season due to conflicts with MGM Television, including disagreement over major script and storyline cuts considered important to the main theme. He stated that the "lack of professionalism... made it really difficult... it was like being at war... they were constantly trying to strongarm me. It was the worst experience of my life". According to Fuller, Showtime canceled the show due to "a loss of quality and a sense the problems would continue."
