Wasn’t there a weird RTA knockoff animated series on YouTube? Something about Cassandra being a hair clip or something? I at least remember hearing “clipssandra” being thrown about the fandom.

Yes! Though it wasn't specifically an RTA knock-off. It was a fairytale crossover series, but before it could cross over, it had to establish their version of all the individual fairytales, and the Rapunzel section, without following the plot of RTA at all, borrowed their designs for S2 Rapunzel and, later in episode 2, the enchanted hair clip Clapsy (who looks like Cassandra in her human form, which, spoiler alert, she never regains). Plus, Rapunzel's parents vaguely resemble Quirin and Varian's mom.

Oh, and it steals the premise that Rapunzel's hair keeps the witch young, though the means are... convoluted, at best.

Fairy Tales and Bedtime Stories Rapunzel Ep. 3

These are not squirrels, these are nightmares.

"Rapunzel, I'm exhausted. Could I rest on your hair?" "Rapunzel took Clapsy and put her on her hair." LMAO this made me laugh more than it should have.

This bee... it's so random. Queen Bees don't leave their hives... why is it so big...? It's just unexplained and there for some reason and I love it. 😂

Rapunzel's hair is prehensile now.

"Oh... my heel... my shoe... ow my hair... augh." Hahhahaha.

"Wow, didn't think that would work." They should change your name to Sass-spy.

Tbh I thought they were gonna do the cliche where the baby dragon would see Clapsy and think she's his mother. But they went even more nonsensical. Why was the dragon egg on it's own anyway? Where's Mother Dragon? Why are these three incompetent "squirrels" looking after it, when they'll show the baby dragon to any random stranger who asks?

"Clapsy decided she better stop crushing the dragon's tail." Jesus Clapsy, you're a hair clip- how much could you possibly weigh? Unless you somehow magically retained your human mass under enchanted form... but if that were the case... how could Rapunzel's head handle your weight? 😅

"Yeah, so... that dragon you didn't say existed? That's... they found it." Whoever voiced this owl should get a raise. Also look, more bargain bin rip-off villains.

All in all, just as ridiculous as the past episodes, but with the TTS hiatus, I'm loving every crackish minute. Looking forward to the crossover event with the other knock-off princesses 😆.

Man, the animation quality on this Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure series of shorts still sucks and the plot is bonkers, but the characters are getting much more IC. Love that Cass (or “Clapsy” as she seems to be called now) still tries to solve things with violence even when she’s a hair clip.
