"Shit, shit, shit!" Leah hissed her curses from the en-suite bathroom, in a robe, frantically trying to cover up her bleeding wrist before Clara saw again. Leah had promised to stop after all, but it'd been too tempting. "C'mon, c'mon," she pleaded, running her wrist under the tap, watching the blood flow away. "Ow!"
Clara heard a loud noise coming from the en-suite as she ruffled her brunette hair and smiled sweetly to herself in the mirror. It wasn’t usual for Leah to make such a racket unless something either terrible or good was happening behind that closed door and the brunette grew suspicious as she heard the slight whispers of the blonde’s voice. “You okay?” she exclaimed, before barging in unannounced to the girl. Clara had really learnt from past experience that it was probably better to leave the girl be for some-time, unless she didn’t answer of course. The impossible girl didn’t want to fight.

Clara was always the kind of person to love Halloween. Whether it was the dressing up, the sweets or just the overall joy she got from watching horror movie after horror movie; the brunette couldn’t help but immerse herself in the full spirit of the holiday tradition that had only recently been brought over to Britain.
At 27, you would expect such a person like her to be over the whole thing by now, usually it was kids running around at ridiculous times in the night, banging on other’s doors and asking for treats but the impossible girl was always the one weird adult that would join in all the fun. And that included wearing a different, well thought out costume every single year.
After much deliberation and thought in that fast running head of hers, and a push here and there to convince Clever to come with her; Clara was now in one of the most highbrow costume stores in the whole of London. Filled with animal costumes, Christmas costumes, role-play costumes for you know what; the works. And she had to pick one out of everything? God this was going to be hard.
“What about I go as Catwoman you go as Batman?” she suggested first to Clever, who seemed already bored the moment they walked in. “It would be the best superhero double act if I ever saw one” she then added, trying to hype him up as much as she possibly could with her over exaggerated energy.
