Vans of a feather flock together! When he read about our solar panel woes (one blew off our roof a couple weeks ago), Glen aka @tosimplify sent us a message saying he was going to be coming through Bishop and offered his expertise to help us with our repair. Although we managed to fix the issue on our own, Glen still checked in on us to make sure everything was ok. He also gave us a tour of his Westy which is truly amazing in design and appearance. While we’re still very new to living in our vehicle full-time, we’re quickly learning one thing about this community: no matter what vehicle your home of choice, whether it’s a Volkswagen, a Ford, Mercedes, there is a supporting community ready to jump in and help when you need it.❤️🚐❤️

When renovating a van/rv from 1964, you occasionally find surprises like this little guy. He may be the longest resident in our vehicle but WE'RE making the design choices now. So long little friend, thanks for the company.

Check out this 1971 Cortez I came across yesterday! I was driving from Palm Springs to LA and I saw this orange beauty from the 10 freeway. I immediately pulled off at the next exit and found Bob Miller RV where they are selling this beautiful Cortez for 25k (in case any of you want to join the Cortez club!) I had previously seen this Cortez listed for sale online and I LOVED the color scheme. It was awesome to find this vehicle in real life.
