Sime redesigns/renditions of team fortress classic for a dispatch inspired AU I’ve been developing with my friend @terraqua111 I wanted to give them a chance and give them some more unique looks then just bunch of elderly white guys (and girl). And just give me a chance at trying to do more human faces. As well as try ti develop some more unique personalities that isn’t just tyring ti make the a more villainous team compared to a team of… frankly a team of mercenaries we hapoen to follow and love. Especially certain details IYKYK
The idea was in this AU the classic team were a team of previous heroes who had to go into hiding, as supers in their time were much more hated no matter what they did. After being in hiding for years, they’re back as a villain team. Jaded by all the rejection, criticism and hatred they had been thrust upon them. So they’re fighting against the society that tried to crush them and wanting to overthrow it all. But perhaps it’s not too late to drag them out from the darkness… at least that’s what some people think.

Classic Scout: Greg
Alter Ego: Gateway
Powers: Portal Creation. Able to open portals of many sizes, helps him with mobility, fast paced combat and getting into and out of places.
Bonus: He and Ross are in a secret relationship. (Habit due to their time period) They work very well together and a lot of their combat works around eachother. He wishes they could get married and life a dream life but…yeah, he knows that’s just a pipe dream. Is rather protective over Ross (and considering their personalities, it’s as outside of work, he’s seen as much more awkward and dorky)
Classic Soldier: Ross
Alter Ego: Avalanche
Powers: Cyrokinesis. Able to form and manipulate ice and snow and use it in many forms, whether it be as physical attacks, defensive shielding and much more.
Bonus: He was an ex-firefighter before becoming a Super. (And now ex hero…). He had actually saved Greg from almost dying in a fire and was then approached by the team. The mix of the firefighting as well as his time as a hero and now a villain. While the past jobs he doesn’t regret it, it has caused him some PTSD…
Classic Pyro: Beatrice (or Bea)
Alter Ego: Miasma
Powers: Typhokinesis. She can manipulate and physically mimic smoke. Allowing her to go through tight spaces and avoid attacks. She's also able to use her smoke to overwhelm or even choke people, and depending on the kind of material she's burning herself or pulling in from around her, the smoke can be toxic. It all depends on what’s around or what she’s currently burning.
Info: She and Adrian are close friends and is usually his right hand man. Having known eachother since childhood and grown up in the same neighbourhood. Their home town was unfortunately extremely religious and saw their powers as demonic. they ran away together. Her scar is actually a result of their attempted ‘exorcism’, not one of her own doings or a made up story she tells for laughs.
Classic Demoman: Greggory (or Gregg, Greg 2 and GG)
Alter Ego: Seismo
Powers: Vibrokinesis. Is able to create and manipulate vibrations to multitude of degrees. From manipulating sound waves to causing devastating shockwaves that can tear apart the ground. His powers are heavily connected to his emotions. So as a result has to hold back quite a lot. As a result he is a vicious, loud almost crazed fighter.
Info: Aside from using humour, he uses music as a coping mechanism as well as a way to get his emotions out and let his powers come out lightly. He’d frequent clubs and even play at some himself. He misses that…
Classic Heavy: Adrian
Alter Ego: Berserker
Powers: Beast form and Healing factor. His beast form allows him to grow larger as well spawn large wings. Almost appears gargoyle-esque, or even described as a gorilla-bat creature. Or even a demon.
Info: is the leader of the team, was initially motivated in his youth to prove that freaks like him and others could help people and aren’t monsters… but after the death of one of his teammates and years of society’s treatment. He’s become consumed by bitterness and hatred, so he became determined to get his gang back together and unleash their wrath on everyone else and fight back for others like them.
Classic Engineer: Frederick 'Fred' Conagher
Alter Ego: Mechatron (V.2)
Powers: No. powers. Fought in a mech suit inspired by his father Radigan Conagher. Was highly intelligent and skilled in mechanics and cybernetics (had no cybernetics himself however. had plans on it though). Outside of the suit he was an adept physical fighter.
Info: Was the token powerless Super in his group but was happy to fight alongside them, even after having his son, Dell. He still remained close and raised Dell close to his paternal uncles and Aunt… but when he had died in a vicious battle, it caused a huge crack that lead the team down their path after falling off the grid, and abandoning Dell...
Classic Sniper: Virgil
Alter Ego: Basilisk
Powers: Lizard pysiology. Has abilities and characteristics of a lizard. Such as enchanced vision, wall climbing, some slight healing (damage to his skin can be shed and regrown) and venom. Still has to rely mostly on his skills as a sniper for fighting. Likely found a way to extract his venom and put it in his bullets himself to make them more deadly and painful if he can't get a headshot, or coats a blade in his venom.
Info: He and Fred were close friends, and the team became the first bunch of people he ever got close with. When he died, he was consumed by grief. Virgil hasn’t gotten over it, and still harbours some negative feelings towards Carl, who Fred died protecting. He knows deep down it wasn’t Carl’s fault but he just hasn’t’ dealt with his grief well, or any of his emotions well.
Classic Medic: Carl
Alter Ego: Echosoul
Powers: Empathic mimicry and Healing abilities, all his powers are based on emotion. Can only mimic abilities if he can focus on the emotion of the other person it's connected to. And his healing can only work if he's focused on the power that works best for it (such as sadness/sorrow, or compassion).
Info: unfortunately struggles from depression from a mix of his abilities being extremely overwhelming and the situation with Fred and how he feels at fault… when Sdrian got them back together, he tried to dissuade them but failed… he’s secretly working against them as a double agent in an attempt to find a way to stop them. Fearing their current mission will do nothing but get them all killed. He’s especially been trying hard to pull Adrian out of it all…
Classic Spy: Dennis (or Denise)
Alter Ego: Duplicant
Powers: Shapeshifting. Can only mimic other people, not animals or objects. If the person he mimics has a physical ability/mutation, he can use it himself but cannot mimic exact powers and abilities.
Info: Uses his abilities quite frequently, at first to hide his Albinism, but then later on to explore his identity. Will sometimes take a more feminine form and go by Denise. Had started to secretly do this with only his team, only occasionally using this alias on infiltration missions. Is unsure what to label himself, has only really taken a step into exploring.
