Enjoy the warm and rich flavor of old-fashioned brown sugar fudge. This classic treat is great for making sweet memories and satisfying your sweet tooth.
Ingredients: 2 cups brown sugar. 1/2 cup unsalted butter. 1/2 cup whole milk. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Pinch of salt. 1 3/4 cups confectioners' sugar.
Instructions: Set aside an 8x8-inch square baking pan that has been greased. Over medium-low heat, mix the brown sugar, butter, whole milk, and a pinch of salt in a saucepan with a heavy bottom. Once the mixture starts to boil, keep stirring it. Then, turn down the heat to low and let it simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring every now and then. After taking the pan off the heat, add the vanilla extract and stir it in. Add the confectioners' sugar slowly while stirring the fudge mixture so that it is smooth and well mixed. When the baking pan is ready, pour the fudge into it and spread it out evenly. Once the fudge is cool enough to touch, put it in the fridge for at least two hours to set. Cut the fudge into squares and enjoy it once it's hard.
