adrien gets a failed service dog, a chaotic good boy golden retirever that plagg secretly loves. nino adopts a german sheperd that was a failed police dog. alya 100% has a beagle. marinettes family has a fat, lazy grey tabby cat, who used to mouse but now does absolutely nothing. tikki says she reminds her of plagg and will Nap with her. bonus: the animals all know all their secret identities and they find themselves frequently ward off attempts by their pets to reveal them to one another

OMG like Nino G-Shep always brings Adrien his toys cause he will indulge him with fetch longer than most, and he keeps trotting up to Cat Noir with his favorite toy and Cat’s sweating like “WOW JEEZE YOUR DOG SURE IS FRIENDLY. GO ON NOW GO AWAY” and hes like desperatly trying to shoo it but the G-Sheps tail is just wagging and Ninos slowly getting suspicious. 

I love Nino and Adrien having failed trained dogs cause it implies that they were either too excitable, disobiedient or distracted to do their jobs. I like to think that they still have habits and things though from their training schools. So when something sketchy happens near Nino his dog posts up, rigid and alert, guarding against approch, and he’ll guard the ‘territory’ of Ninos room and stand guard when he sleeping (which nino will never admit but helps him sleep so much better sometimes) 

and sometimes when things just get to be too much and Adrien is trying so hard to keep it together at a photo shoot or something, hes just angry and overwhelmed, he’ll feel his dog gently pulling at his sleeve. hes gentle but insistent, forcing adrien to sit down until the dog can pull up into his lap and just lay his body weight on him till adrien calms down.

If everyone in ML had an animal sidekick that wasnt their kwami, like an additional companion, what would it be. And if that character has a kwami do they get along with the companion or do they hate eachother

I like to think Nathaniel has either a cat, hamster, or parakeet. Also idk how realistic this would be, but imagine Juleka with a raven that’d be lit. Also Rose with a little axolotl.

i think it being extra and also a little scary makes juleka having an actual huge raven super crazy badass and also very in character. like Julekas mom? So on board with her ‘connecting with any creature that shares her heart’ or whatever, so she just feeds this one massive raven, and is brave enough to pet it and it flies above her ominously in the sky, but its named Tulip or something cause she asked Rose what she should name it. So yeah Juleka with a raven always around her or sitting on her shoulder. Maybe shes also good with a troop of crows and she loves them all, but its also great for the aesthetic. 

Nathaniel with a little grey/brown dwarf hamster he keeps in his pocket sounds fantastic tbh. he gently scoops it out of his bag or pocket where its sleeping, and it sleepily blinks at the classroom lights with a sunflower seed in it’s paws as he sets it down on his sketch book. He’s quiet enough that no one but the students notice that he brings it to school all the time. It will leave its sunflower seed shells on the pages and Nathaniel doesnt move them, drawing around them and leeting them influence the picture so that his hamster gets to participate in what he’s making. 

Maybe its name is Scribble or Kip or Monty 

OMG and roooose, rose knowing all about axolotl and always mimicing its facial expressions when its mouth is wide open in that like :D face they can do. So when its swimming around it will be like :D and rose will be like :D

Are these ML animals ask for the mainly for the main 4 (Adrien, Marinette, Nino and Alya)? Because I have this image in my head of Alix on rollerblades, hanging on to a leash that's harnessed up to a sweet rescue greyhound whose bounding down the streets of Paris and both of them having the time of their lives. Rose with a tiny parrotlet perched on her finger and shoulder.

DUUUDE no its for everyone i just want to know everyones animal companion and their dynamic. It can be magical or just a close relationship with a pet like bro ferrets bobcats parakeets rescues, race dogs, feral cats anything im down for anything and Alix with her rescued racing greyhound YES

I see your “Marinette has a cat companion” and raise you “Marinette has a cat AND a bird companion” (like one of the small ones, parakeets??) because imagine- the bird flying around with Tikki. Marinette with a bird perched on her shoulder as she doodles in her sketchbook. A mysterious bird oddly similar to Marinette’s that always seems to hover around Ladybug. The bird helping Marinette wake up in the morning with incessant (but adorable) chirping. Just. Marinette with a bird please consider

Little bird skittring on her keyboard, pipping on top of her sewing machiene, moodily fluttering around her sink waiting for her to get out of the shower, stubbornly sat on the eraser of her pencil as shes drawing even though its WAY too small so MOVE. But nope it hops off and pips and hops back on and peeps some more I love it i love it its greats

Ok but are we talking just regular pet animals or Daemon-like? Because I subscribe to the idea that Adrien and Nino both have pet dogs, and are Dog Bros.

Animal Sidekicks - Adrien: A Frenchie, Plagg likes to pretend he doesn't like them but when Adrien is not paying attention/in the room/asleep/etc they cuddle and play. Marinette: A calico: slightly neurotic, mirrors Mari's moods most of the time, known for racing around a lot. Is fascinated with paper - likes to sleep/sit on top of it; same with screens. Adores Tikki. Nino: Either a Basset or a G Pyrenees. Chill dog, likes to sing to his music. Alya: Beagle. Likes to help hunt down a scoop

YEEES YES I LOVE THIS I LOVE IT omg alya with a beagle running ahead of her, tail confidently out as it sources down the Big Scoop I freaking love it. 

Adrien and Nino chilling ina  pile with their dogs, marinette walking around with her cat on her shoulders as it sits and peers at all her things and she talks aloud to it excitedly.
