The Benefits of Home Schooling
A Synergetic Debate-Essay by Ethan, Harrisen, Shirley, and Tom - 4th Grade 12/19/12
Are there more benefits to home schooling than public schooling? The essay will argue that home schooling provides more advantages. It will state that home schooling is safer, that it allows you to save money, that it lets you know what your kids eat, and allows your kids to choose their own subjects.
Firstly, at home, you are safer from weather problems. If a hurricane hits, you will have more time to get ready. The television can alert you if there is an emergency. You will not get trapped in a snow storm like other kids. In sum, these are the reasons that make home schooling safer than public schools. By: Tom
Secondly, home schooling saves money for parents. Home schooling saves money because if a school is far away, then you have to give money to your child to ride a bus. Home schooling saves money because some public schools need money for lunch, so you have to pay for your child's lunch. Home schooling is better because if your child brakes something, you have to pay, but if your child brakes your own window, you don't have to pay. In sum, these are reasons that make homes schooling cheaper than public schooling. By: Shirley
Thirdly, home schooling is better than public school because you know what your kid or kids are eating. In school, something may get caught in school lunches, and your child might get sick. Also, your child can have an allergic reaction to foods that you did not know of. In addition, your child may not like school lunch, so your child's brain may not function for the rest of the day after lunch period. In conclusion, these are the reasons that make the food in home-schooling healthier than public schools. By: Harrisen
Lastly, some public schools teach more subjects than home schools. In public schools, kids learn so many subjects that some kids may forget the easier (or earlier) subjects. Also, kids don't like every subject that is taught in public schools. Moreover, kids sometimes don't like the teachers they have. In conclusion, these are the reasons that make me think home schooling provide more academic freedom. By: Ethan
