Fundamentally Clawfang is about feeling unloved and looking around and realizing the problem was You this whole time. Clawfang is the horrible vulnerability you feel when you're drowning but no one is there to help because you've pushed them all away. He's the boy in the boy who cried wolf, he's hopelessness and wretchedness. He's Frankenstein's monster, an abomination no one loves and no one has ever loved. He's trauma- he's surviving but coming out wrong, he's realizing everyone in your friend group was only tolerating you and after the common setting breaks they all fade away....
Clawfang is about feeling unloved and looking around and realizing the problem was You this whole time, and knowing you need to change or you'll drown, but not knowing how, not knowing how, not knowing how- you're trapped in the river in a bag but you're the bag, you wove it with your own hands, tied it, tossed it- and now you can't get out and you're drowning,
drowning,
drowning
