The Other Archangel, part 2
Requested
Part 1

“Have you heard anything from your sister?” Dean asked.
“No,” Cas said with a shake of his head. “She’s been quiet. They’ve all been quiet.”
“Maybe your signal’s broken.”
“We know she’s with the other archangels. She’ll find Lucifer.”
“Yeah, well, before the world ends would be ideal.”

“Did you really think you could hide out forever?”
Lucifer looked up. “Little sister. What a pleasant surprise.”
“You’ve been gone for quite a while.”
“Yeah, well, you knew where I was. You could’ve come to visit me at any time.”
You looked down at your feet. “Father didn’t want me down there.”
“Mmm. And you always did do what he said.”
“If you would just talk to him--”
“I’m not interested in talking to him.” Lucifer turned his back to you.
You stepped around, facing him. “What about me?”
Lucifer pursed his lips. “What do you want to talk about?”
“We need your help.”
“‘We’?”
“Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, Castiel, the Winchesters, Father…”
Lucifer narrowed his eyes. “Y/N,”
“Please, Lucifer. I know you’ve been stuck in that cage for a long time, but you have to have heard what’s going on.”
“You’re talking about Aunt Amara.”
“We need your help to get her to stop.”
“Hmmm but chaos is so much fun.”
“You know where the line is, Lucifer. You know she’s going to cross it. And if she does, we will not be able to come back.”
Lucifer bit his bottom lip. “Maybe it’s about time we move on from this.”
You nodded. “Very well, Lucifer.” You placed your hand on his shoulder as you walked by him. “If you change your mind… you know how to find me.”

“All right, so now that we’re down one, what’s our plan?” Michael asked.
“We can still do this,” you said. “We just… have to rearrange some of our efforts.”
“Where do we start?” Gabriel asked.
“Dean Winchester. He has a connection to Aunt Amara.”
“So, what? We use him as a distraction?” Raphael asked.
“More like… bait.”
“That won’t last long,” Michael noted. “We’ll need to have an immediate backup. She’s smart. She can see through everything.”
“We will need to divide our ranks in order to gather our brothers and sisters,” you said, pulling out a scroll. “We need to be quick.”
“Is Father still with the Winchesters?”
You nodded. “I told him I would fill him in when we decided our course of action.”
“Holy shit,” Gabriel whispered.
You noted your brothers all staring at a spot behind you. You slowly turned, finding Lucifer standing behind you. His hands were shoved in the pockets of his jacket.
“What are you doing here?” Raphael asked.
“Don’t flatter yourself and think it’s because of you,” Lucifer sneered. “I came because of her.”
“Are you joining us?” you asked.
Your brother nodded. “If the world’s going to end… I want it to be at my hands, not someone else’s.”

You and your brothers watched as Dean said his goodbyes to his friends and family. The distraction hadn’t worked; Aunt Amara was still on the loose, power raging. Another solution had been found; it would, however, kill Dean.
“You’re upset,” Lucifer said, watching you.
“He’s giving up his life to defeat our aunt. How am I supposed to feel?”
“Would you rather she destroy the entire planet? Dean would still die.”
You shook your head. “We should have tried harder. We should have been able to come up with some other way.”
“Hey,” Lucifer placed a hand on your shoulder, turning you toward him. “We did everything we could. You pushed us farther than we’ve ever been pushed. Don’t beat yourself up over this.”
You bit your lip. “One of us should be the bomb, not him. Not a human.”
“We’ve been over this, Y/N. It has to be him.”
Castiel approached you, a small frown on his face.
“Castiel?”
“He’s ready. He’s going to face Amara. He…”
You reached out, taking your brother’s hand in yours, a strange gesture but one you knew humans used for comfort. Cas seemed to take some from it.
Sam approached, shoulders drooped as if the weight of the world rested upon them. The four of you turned, finding the spot where Dean had stood empty.
He was gone.
“What now?” Gabriel asked, stepping up.
“Now,” you said. “Now… we wait. And pray.”
