Beneath different skies - Open Starter- [ AnK]

Shaken awake, the redhead sat up from the ground. Her head was aching with pain and her body was strained. Standing up, she glanced around and saw nothing but condemned homes. The crumbs of once a flourishing town, frozen in their moment of dismay. Time was an absent law in the ruins of the afflicted. This looked nothing like her village of Matre. Two toned eyes tensed with confusion. "Where...?" Desperately, she tried to remember the events which transpired beyond this moment but nothing came through. Instead of standing still, she walked around. Blood stained the floor, windows were broken and homes had collapsed. Despite the rubble, the homes did not look old. In fact, the paint seemed rather fresh. Was this place recently abandoned...?

The ground beneath her feet violently shook, breaking the warrior out of her cogitations. Two toned hues of gold and silver glanced at the floor with confusion. The shaking would come and go like the wind. Counting down the seconds in-between it almost seemed as if it were footsteps instead of something out of the force of nature. But then the vibrations became much more evident as it came closer. Prompting her head, she saw a colossal figure walking without cause. It’s size was no different than some of the beasts she fought at home but what ignited fear within her was that it wore the face of a man, the appearance of a human. "What the…?" She uttered under her breath. Retreating toward a wall, she slowly escaped his presence only to see more ahead. Valora had to act swiftly.

These creatures were foreign to her and it was obvious to her now that she was not in her homeland. A principle in fighting was to avoid one at all costs. The main law for martial artists. With great agility and silence, she treads carefully through the broken town and out into the horizon. It was there she saw a towering wall. Instincts told her that perhaps a civilization existed beyond it and acted as a guardian from the behemoths. A light green constellation appeared blow her feet as she chanted a spell : "Float" As the light faded, she floated up and reached the top of the wall. Landing firmly, she walked forward and saw people and a large town - which was a sign of relief. "H-Hey!" A voice shouted out to her.

Averting her attention was a group of men that had seen her. "W-where did you come from?!" They shouted, carrying an angry, terrified expression. Valora felt the need to defend herself because they seemed hostile. "Calm down. I mean no harm." She said sternly but they interrupted her with an order to silence. A hand was placed on her hip as she adjusted most of her weight on one leg. A sigh followed"I was simply answering your question. Make up your mind." Her eyes and tone were cold but she spoke softly. The men ran around frantically, shouting orders as others drew blades. They seemed threaten by her. She could easily run away or fight them off, but what good would that do? Deciding to play it smart, she raised her hands and surrendered herself to them. After all, she was a foreigner and given the town she had just seen, these people probably endured a lot.
