Indiana Diaries 🌽 This first pic was taken on my last morning at the lake. I woke up at 5 and paddled in the dark under the clear sky with the stars perfectly reflected on the lake’s surface. It was truly magical. I finished my paddle just before sunrise and then rushed inside to get dressed up. I knew that if I didn’t do a golden hour shoot with the abundant goldenrod, I’d regret it. (And since I didn’t have anyone to model for me, I made it a self-portrait shoot.) 🤳 My week in Indiana was a much-needed break from Florida summer. The first part of the week was focused on family time, and I had so much fun splashing in the lake with my siblings. 🏊♀️ After my sibs departed, I spent my time enjoying the outdoors on my own. Each morning, I woke up early to go paddleboarding at sunrise. It was so blissful to be on the still lake, moving through the warm glassy water. Although the temps were usually in the 50s each morning, the water was significantly warmer. 🛶 When my grandparents told me about 2 newer nature preserves around the lake, that sealed the deal and I spent most of my waking hours on those trails. My treks took me through forests, prairies, wetlands, fens, and fields. I observed so many amazing flora and fauna and learned so much as I researched my new observations.
