Tissaia is that parent who believes that what she does is tough love (probably doesn’t know any better) and wonders why the heck her daughter hates her so despite giving her “everything.” I like Tissaia’s character, and I believe Yennefer’s relationship with her (and her own mother) helps shape the mentor and mother she becomes to Ciri, but to completely gloss over how abusive she was? Yeah, no. (Also shipping her and Yen? Wth?)
totally agree. i find tissaia’s character compelling in that she’s well written and the actress who plays her is phenomenal but nearly everything she says or does leaves me fuming which then leads to rants like the post this reply is tagged to lol
