It's amazing how someone leaving a single, heartfelt comment on a 2+ year finished series (and the subsequent abandoned sequel) can bring a sudden wave of inspiration and motivation to keep going.

Hands down, Forgotten Boxes.

It was in this fic I was able to process my own feelings and personal experiences to a degree while spending time establishing and developing a healthy dynamic and communication between the reader and Fives. I couldn't have made this fic what it was without the help of @thefact0rygirl as my beta.

Oooh this is a hard one to answer, because I'm honestly really fond of my writing and picking a favorite is impossible. BUT, I do love this particularly angsty, if brief, exchange between Shepard and [REDACTED FOR SPOILERS] in Clone Effect: Rebels....(below the cut)

“Kix, please…” she pleaded through a shaking whisper and closed eyes, unable to hold his gaze through the shame she felt at her selfish desperation. "Make me forget how lonely I am."

“I’m not him,” he murmured back without a trace of anger or malice, his voice instead painful honesty. “I can’t be him, especially not when you’re drunk.”
