I Have Arrived! Aye aye captain.
So,,! If I could, I’d like to request a JFK x Reader!! Yuh yuh,,,,
I’m an INFP! I’m really reserved and don’t enjoy starting the conversation first with strangers. But if I’m forced to, I can at least dish out responses to them pretty okay! I’d like to say I’m pretty happy, or act it! But, irl, I more so act- annnnxious, quiet, and- probably sAD AJHAKFHAJ-.
I use They / Them pronouns, and I’m a Freshmen. :)!
I tend to draw, in- a lot of mediums, too! I also like taking photos of stuff, and I’d like to maybe be a photographer someday. I also like helping people!! I may not be able to go entirely out of my way to do it, but when I can; I do! :D
So,, I’d like to request sorta a strangers to friends to crushing / lovers?? Just how that’d vaguely go, if that’s okay!! If not, I’m perfectly content with anything you can come up with :)!!
I hope your day / night goes well!! :D
okay i don’t wanna sound like that one teacher who shames everyone else by telling one person they did a good job, but this request is so perfectly specific i just- thank you. you answered all the guidelines. i love this. thank you anon.
JFK With an Anxious/Quiet Reader
(strangers to friends to crushing to lovers)
Strangers
JFK probably wouldn’t notice them at first. He’s too busy in his own little world to notice the quiet and artsy kid. They have a few classes together (like math and everything that’s by level instead of grade), but they sit on opposite sides of the room so they never really interact or even look at each other.
JFK mistakenly got placed in a photography class for his junior elective even though he signed up to be in something else, but it actually proves to be an enjoyable experience because of who he met there. JFK and this person -- surprise surprise -- get partnered up for a project together, and that’s how they initially meet. The course level that JFK got placed in was way too high for him, so he lets his partner take the lead. They teach JFK the basics of photography, and they take JFK around the city to take pictures just for some practice.
JFK doesn’t learn that fast, but he still tries really hard. His partner is really patient with him, and is glad that they have a topic to talk to JFK about. They aren’t good at small talk, so having an area of expertise that they can focus on really helps ease the initial awkwardness.
Friends
JFK learns that this person is actually really cool, and starts hanging out with them outside of class. He tries to be discreet about it so people don’t start questioning him, but he waves to them in the hallways and sometimes meets up with them for a couple of minutes after school to show them some photos he took, music he likes, stuff like that. He’s pretty eager with his new friend, especially since they helped him to broaden his horizons. He normally wouldn’t spend so much time with someone younger than him, but he gives this person a pass because he genuinely thinks they’re really cool.
JFK is kind of an inconsiderate prick to most people, but not to this person. He admires their passion for photography and how they went out of their way to help him, especially when he can see how anxious they are. He knows he has a big reputation to uphold, but he tries to give back what he’s received nonetheless.
Crushing
JFK isn’t very familiar with these feelings because “romance” to him is usually a hookup in the back of his car, but he can feel that it’s a little bit... different with this person. He likes how he feels when he’s just talking to or walking next to them, and he doesn’t feel that way about a lot of people. He doesn’t really realise that he has a crush on them at first because that’s a fairly unfamiliar concept to him.
This person is also pretty shy around JFK. They know that he’s the big shot popular jock around the school, so they’re afraid that JFK is just using them for a laugh or sympathy points or something. They don’t open up to him about their feelings right away, but they can still feel the change in their relationship.
JFK doesn’t really know how this person feels about him, because they start pulling back a little bit when they realise that they might have feelings for JFK, in more than a friendly way. Their friendship doesn’t exactly turn awkward, but it doesn’t flow as easily as it did before. JFK thinks this is his fault, so he tries to be extra careful around them and even drop some hints that he’s into them.
Eventually, the photography project ends and neither of them really know what to do. This person feels like they can’t continue to be friends with JFK the way they were before because they don’t think they belong with someone as popular as him, and JFK feels like he can’t hang out with this person anymore because he’s the one who made their friendship awkward (even though that’s not entirely true).
JFK makes a bold move and tells them that he doesn’t want to stop hanging out with them, and they tell JFK that they feel the same way. He tries to ask them out in the most subtle way possible. He asks if they maybe want to see a movie on Friday night, and they say yes.
Lovers
JFK isn’t very good at expressing his feelings with words, but he’s good at expressing them through physical affection. He tries to tell his s/o that he loves them without saying the words, because he’s too scared to say them out loud.
JFK does confess first though, because he always gets really close to saying it and then stops himself and eventually he gets tired of stopping himself. He says it in kind of a rushed way, not because he doesn’t want his s/o to hear, but because he doesn’t know what he’s supposed to do. He’s never said the words out loud before. JFK’s s/o says it back just as nervously, but they both smile. They’re a very happy couple, and their romantic relationship doesn’t feel awkward.
I hope I’m not being weird, but may I ask for some van gogh x gandhi hcs?
not being weird at all, dw anon!
Van Gogh x Gandhi Headcanons
Van Gogh and Gandhi are the perfect example of an introvert x extravert couple. Van Gogh would rather sit at home and watch movies, while Gandhi would rather go out and do something active. This causes some strain and bickering in their relationship sometimes. Van Gogh, being the smart and creative mind that he is, thinks of a system for deciding who gets to pick the activity for date night. Honestly, it’s rigged so he always gets to pick, but Gandhi doesn’t notice. Of course Gandhi is like, “why do you always win?” but he’s never suspicious that Van Gogh is doing it on purpose.
As a nice compromise for Van Gogh’s love of painting and Gandhi’s desire to go out for date night, they decide to go.... finger painting! Van Gogh tries to actually make impressive art, but Gandhi is just making spiders and frogs that they have instructions to make in those little finger painting booklets. He keeps tapping Van Gogh on the shoulder to show him what he’s made, and Van Gogh pretends to be all exasperated, but deep down he actually thinks it’s kinda cute. But he would never say that to Gandhi.
Van Gogh and Gandhi aren’t very big on physical affection. Gandhi tries to cuddle with him sometimes when they’re watching movies on the couch, but Van Gogh doesn’t really like touch that much. He’s more comfortable with verbal affection, but even then he isn’t very good at expressing his feelings. He’s very guarded with everyone, and Gandhi isn’t an exception. Gandhi would never admit that this makes him sad, but it does. He tries to get Van Gogh to talk to him more by showing interest in Van Gogh’s interests. Gandhi studies up on some of the great artists, like Monet and Cézanne. He gets them mixed up a lot because honestly, most 19th-century impressionist painters are similar. Van Gogh always yells at him for mixing them up as if the difference should be obvious, but he’s actually flattered that Gandhi is trying.
Van Gogh is disgusted by most of the things Gandhi is into and would never be caught dead indulging in them, but he feels like he owes Gandhi something for all the interest he’s shown in Van Gogh’s interests. Van Gogh listens to a couple 100 gecs songs just so he’ll have something to talk about with Gandhi, but honestly, it makes him want to shrivel up and die. Van Gogh hates 100 gecs. He thinks they’re a sad excuse for a music artist. He also watches the pilot episodes for a couple of the shows Gandhi likes, but he thinks those are stupid as well. Van Gogh has no shame in telling Gandhi when he thinks something is stupid, but he still lets Gandhi play 100 gecs in the car. At a low volume, of course, but he feels like he has to give Gandhi something in return for him learning about Van Gogh’s favourite painters.
Van Gogh has to remind Gandhi to take his adderall. He sets alarms in Gandhi’s phone for him and even watches him take it if they’re eating lunch together. Van Gogh doesn’t mind dating someone with ADD, but he’s an introvert and runs out of energy really quickly so he’d rather Gandhi be a little calmer around him.
Gandhi goes clothes shopping for Van Gogh because he thinks the way Van Gogh dresses is really boring. Van Gogh thinks the way Gandhi dresses is too casual, so Gandhi’s attempt at a makeover doesn’t really get him anywhere. He hides clothes in Van Gogh’s closet sometimes when he’s not looking, but Van Gogh always finds them and then gets mad at Gandhi. He does not need someone else to dress him.
Gandhi and Van Gogh argue a lot, but when no one else is watching, they’re actually really sweet together. Van Gogh is short-tempered and gets annoyed a lot, but he’s trying to work on that for Gandhi. Gandhi tries to get most of his energy out if he knows he’s going out with Van Gogh later, because he knows Van Gogh can’t handle a lot of enthusiasm. Sometimes they hold hands if no one else is around, and every once in a while Gandhi will kiss Van Gogh on the cheek before going to class. They’re very careful about who they’re affectionate in front of because they’re both tiny and would definitely lose in a fight against anyone.
Gandhi tries to be a bit more protective of Van Gogh, just because he’s sort of friends with JFK and JFK has a lot of influence with the people who probably would beat them up. Van Gogh says he doesn’t need Gandhi to protect him, but he’s actually really grateful because yeah, he probably would lose in a fight, no matter how feral he can be at times.
more of jfk being a “yes man” to ponce
getting ponce’s approval on everything?? yes please

Some Wholesome PonceFK
How the Friendship Started
Ponce and JFK’s friendship stems all the way back to when they were children. They met in grade school, and the friendship kinda started because their last names are next to each other in the alphabet so they were assigned to be each others’ line partners (did anyone else have that? at my school we walked in twos to save room on the sidewalk so we were all assigned a person to walk next to).
They started playing together on the playground more often after school, but their foster parents got tired of sitting around for hours to monitor them so eventually they decided to set up some playdates for the boys. They usually just stayed in JFK’s room because he had a huge set of vintage matchbox cars that they especially liked to play with. They would make race courses out of whatever they could find -- straws, plastic eating utensils, pieces from toy train tracks, etc. Ponce was a lot better at making interesting courses than JFK because he liked to use all of the materials at once.
Their parents became close from spending so much time together due to their sons being friends, so they started scheduling family-friend vacations like going camping and whatnot. Ponce and JFK lived pretty close to each other, so it was one of those instances where they could walk or ride their bikes to the other person’s house and just spend the whole day there on weekends. They liked to have back-to-back sleepovers, and their parents went along with it because the boys were easy to take care of and mostly stayed out of the way.
They didn’t get to spend that much time together at school as they got older because class schedules become more complicated, but their friendship never faltered because they built up this unbreakable bond when they were so young that it didn’t even matter. Even if they went a couple days without more than a small acknowledgement in the hallway, they could always get back into their groove when they finally did get to see each other one-on-one. They never felt like their friendship was threatening to fall apart.
How They Admitted
JFK didn’t notice that his feelings for Ponce had changed from a platonic standpoint to a romantic standpoint for a while. It just never dawned on him that anything had changed because they’d had such a close bond for such a long time. JFK had relationships (or hookups, really) with girls, but he always felt empty afterwards, and somehow Ponce could always fill that emptiness. One day JFK’s foster dads were telling him about how they met (even though he didn’t ask), and JFK thought that maybe some of their love story applied to him and Ponce.
After figuring out that his feelings for Ponce weren’t just friendly, he started acting a little more awkward around Ponce. He asked for his approval on a lot of things that he hadn’t asked for it on before, and he was trying to stick close to Ponce to try to see if he felt the same way. JFK offered to walk Ponce to class when their classes were in relatively the same place, and he started eating lunch with Ponce too. Ponce didn’t really suspect anything of the change; he was just happy to be getting some extra time out of his best friend.
JFK had no idea how Ponce felt, because Ponce is more reserved and honestly, JFK isn’t that good at sensing other peoples’ emotions because he’s so in his own head all the time. After a while, he began to feel antsy and he was scared Ponce was going to go find a girl to date and it would be over for him. Every night before he went to sleep, JFK told himself he was going to do it tomorrow. He practiced what he was going to say in the mirror in the morning before school, but nothing ever sounded right so he just kept putting it off.
Because JFK has a lot of trouble bearing his feelings and isn’t all that familiar with confrontation, he decided he could write it in a note. He didn’t want to seem juvenile, so he read it out loud to Ponce instead of just giving it to him and running away. That way, he could keep his eyes fixed on the paper instead of Ponce. He talked fast and quiet, hoping Ponce would get enough information to respond if he felt the same way and not enough information to ruin their friendship if he didn’t feel the same way. When JFK finished reading the note, he folded it up neatly and tucked it in his pocket and then started mumbling stuff like “sorry” and “but I get it if you don’t feel the same way...” just because he was so nervous about their friendship being ruined.
At first Ponce laughed, and JFK got a little bit mad about that because Ponce knows how hard it is for him to talk about his feelings. But Ponce wasn’t laughing at him, he was laughing in relief because now he didn’t have to be the one to initiate the relationship. He explained to JFK why he was laughing at that he likes him back.
JFK said something stupid like “rad!” just because he had no idea what was supposed to come next. Ponce thinks he’s adorable, and tells him that’s why he likes him.
They didn’t tell their foster parents that they’re dating because they’re afraid they won’t be allowed to hang out in JFK’s room with the door closed or have sleepovers, but their parents still figured out pretty quickly anyway.
i could keep going, but i think that’s another post hehe
do y’all ever smile at your own hcs?
i’m looking so fucking hard at a poncefk hc that i just made up on the spot in which they went to elementary school together and their dads were friends so they used to go on family vacations and have sleepovers every weekend and stuff
Hc's for Vinny pls? ówò Im intp(17,she/her), but a bit more emotional/energetic. Im always mindful of other people tho, so if they dont vibe with my silliness, i immediately tone it down.Im mute w/ new ppl, tho. Im very sensitive and keep the majority of it bottled up. I love telling jokes and making others happy. Also anything nerdy is what im all about. Stuff like video games, the arts, science, history.. but art is my favorite. Usually i draw cartoons, but i do plenty of realistic stuff aswell
Van Gogh With an Introverted Reader
At first, Van Gogh has trouble making a connection with this reader. He’s not very good at conversation either, so it’s hard to kind of “break through the ice” with her. He tries to make little gestures to get her attention, like waving hello when they pass each other in the hallways and asking her for an eraser in class (even though he has his own). He’s eager to talk to her, but he’s also pretty anxious so settles for no more than a minute or two of conversation a day. But, as the weeks go on, he works up the nerve to ask her questions that aren’t necessarily about school.
Van Gogh asks her about some of her drawings, which makes her nervous. Van Gogh notices this, and comforts her by showing her some of his own drawings to let her know that he isn’t going to judge her. They start talking about art and their varying drawing styles a little bit, but even now, the conversations don’t last very long because neither of them really know how to keep them going.
One day, Van Gogh makes a bold move and decides to ask her out. He does it in sort of a discreet way, by drawing a little cartoon of them on his paper in class. It’s pretty cheesy, but she’s still flattered and says yes. It’s kind of awkward at first, but she pushes through it quickly by trying to be silly with Van Gogh. She tires to make him feel more comfortable, and that makes her feel more comfortable as well. Van Gogh really admires her sense of humour, and this even gets him to be a little sillier himself. They play off of each others’ jokes a lot. They’re really the only two people who think their jokes are funny, but it’s okay because it’s not like a lot of people are hearing them anyway.
Van Gogh is pretty glad once he gets to know her because she can carry the conversations really well. She likes to ramble on about her interests, and she gets really passionate about whatever she’s talking about. Van Gogh is really good at just listening, and it works out well in this case because he actually cares about what she’s saying. He asks questions occasionally, but it’s really just because he’s trying to prompt her to keep talking. He’d prefer to just listen when she’s talking about video games, but he can actually contribute to the conversation when it’s about art. They geek out about art a lot, everything from sharing their favourite paintings to having competitions to see who knows more obscure details about a certain artist.
They go to a lot of museums together. Museums of any kind, not necessarily just art galleries -- exploratoriums, historical exhibits, aquariums, etc. Van Gogh especially likes museums because they’re quiet, but there’s also a lot to do. Both of them are fascinated by everything in the exhibits, and they spend hours at the museums when they go.
This reader is a really good match for Van Gogh. She draws out sides of him that he usually keeps hidden, like his sense of humour. Van Gogh is also a good match for this reader, because he encourages her to talk about her feelings instead of keeping everything hidden. He’s a really good listener and comforter. They both become more open people when they’re with each other. They’re also really grateful to be with someone who has similar interests and who will listen to the other talk even if they don’t know much about the topic.
Vincent can most likely ramble on about one singular subject for a few minutes, only for him to mention something about that subject that leads into another explanation of another subject. Only for him to ask ''What was I saying?'' hours later after babbling about different things for a bit.
YES OMG I DO THIS
god yes he’d start explaining something but then realise that it only makes sense if he explains this other thing but that only makes sense if he explains something else and he gets so far away from the point that he can’t even remember what the topic of conversation was
and he keeps apologising to the person he’s talking to like, “oh shit, you don’t care about any of this, i’m sorry” but they actually do care because they like seeing him excited
