It must have been a kind of coincidence, Namjoon thought, to run into the same person twice in the same day and most probably an even greater coincidence to spill his coffee on the exact same person twice as well. Most probably the worst coincidence he had ever experienced.

First time, shame on Namjoon, honestly he was just a dweeb at times but the second time around, it was just plainly embarrassing. “God-- I am so sorry!” Namjoon excused himself hastily with a hand full of napkins. He tried to dap the coffee stain on the strangers shirt away, only worsening it, spreading the dark coffee stain even further on the other mans shirt.

By god, how much more embarrassing could this situation get? Namjoon knowing himself, he knew it could get worse. “This is so embarrassing, really, I am so sorry. Let me make it up to you somehow?”

Namjoons first trip to ‘the rabbit hole’ had been when he had just turned 16, way too young to hang out with 21 year olds spitting curse words in every sentence and he was sure if his mom had known what he truly did, when he promised to be studying at cram school, she would have whooped his ass so hard he would have taken lessons standing for the next three weeks.

Now, almost 8 years later, he had no longer to hide where he was and what he was doing. No more yes mom I’ve studied well tonight and more of those delicious sounding curse words on his own tongue. In between bobbing his head along to the heavy beat of just another cypher being spitted out on stage and sips of his coke and rum, swirled together in his glass, he spotted someone in the mass of bodies surrounding him.

Spotting the almost tiny looking man in his black hoodie was almost easy by now. Namjoon had done it so many times already, had committed the others looks to memory by now, that he actually started to miss him whenever he was not around on an open mic thursday. Namjoon took another sip of his bevarage before he wandered over to the smaller man.

“’Sup Yoonges?” he spoke up as he came to halt beside the other, mirroring the others posture with his arms crossed above his chest. “You up for a tongue battle with one of those guys tonight?” They looked up at the stage together, watching the ongoing battle between two guys Namjoon had never seen at the hip hop club before.
