I was feeling rather ill for today's show (in the cold sense, not in the "man am I ever great at hip hop" sense) but I still managed to rock it I think. Plus I look great in this scarf and autumn jacket I wore today.

There are two things I know for certain about Parksville- 1) It is one of the worst places in Canada to take pizza calls from (right up there with Winnipeg and Penticton), and 2) There used to be a giant sandcastle festival there until a giant riot one year canceled it indefinitely. 

Anyway here's a band from Parksville called The Fresh Pots, they're OK for being from a small Canadian town driven almost entirely by a tourist economy. Their second record is streaming here. 

Oh and listen to Cloud Limbs too if you have some spare time, if I had to describe what a Nanaimo band sounds like this would be my best guess.
