The summer for Nate was nothing but days of bliss and days of serenity. With school work off his back and his mind in absolute leisure, he was in paradise. He'd been at the holiday cabin for almost 3 weeks now with his family and he didn't think there was ever a time when he was ready to go home. He just wanted to stay and it wasn't for the campfires, or the lake swims, or the midnight walks. It was for who he did those things with. Viktor. He met Viktor on his first week here and ever since, they've been the epitome of a summer love. When it came to Viktor, Nate's smile was always ten times brighter, his laugh was always ten times louder, his heart beat faster than usual and his stomach was a butterfly heap. He was love struck and also, heart broken. A bitter sweet thing. As the more he grew fond of the boy, the less days there were to spend with him and when the last week of the summer dreadfully rolled in, his heart grew dangerously heavy. What was the easiest way to say goodbye? Because Nate wasn't so sure and when he invited Viktor for another one of their lake strolls, he thought this was the time to tell him.
