A perplexed look contrasts the more friendly face that had given him a sliver of hope at realizing that h was not the only one navigating their way through this underground civilization. Despite some of their similarities (the most relating to being humans), he still was not the best at socializing outside of going over ideas on what to do and where to go. Blinking till his gaze was averted to his notebook (that turned from a mundane purpose to one of survival), he felt the urge to nudge it back into his bag. He can’t remember the last time someone other than his grandmother Chiyo asked if they could look at what he would write for reasons other than seeing what lesson they missed from class the other day.
“Well... I’m not one for original works. I’m more of an analyzer than a poet, so I tend to just write things down for memory than fun...”
Other than the occasional sketcher of an echo flower or a monster he came across, facts and theories were what decorated the lined pages. Something that might seem more boring to this curious girl.
