Closed RP | Echoes in the Dark
I have heard the echoes in the dark
Dim and distant voices of the past
And I've seen so far into the night
And lingered in the land of no light.
Far beyond the shrouded hours of dawn
Through the mist of daybreak I was born
But the day was clouded still by night
Leaving me in the land of no light.
Though I'd love to
Say hello to you
You might have to wait a while to say
Goodbye
For it must end as it began
And then start again.
The day of darkness comes to every man
And lingers while he reaches out his hand
And he cannot know how it will end
Till he finds out if he has a friend...
A friend...
A friend...
A friend.
Echoes in the Dark - Uriah Heep
Kasterborous was surrounded by Dalek fleets. Battle TARDISes flanked each saucer. Gallifrey was a battlefield, although Arcadia and the Citadel still stood well protected. In the mountains of Southern Gallifrey, a scuffed, charred, blue police box materialised, and the Time Lord stepped out. Not the warrior that some prophecies of Karn foretold, but the healer; the war-hardened, aged, maddened Doctor.
"No Daleks that I can see. But still, need to fight them if they come." The Doctor pulled out a revolver and checked the ammo. "Now to set up camp." He turned towards the nearest cave, and was surprised to see a glow come from inside it - he'd thought all the hermits would have escaped, or died, by now. "Who's there?"
