Hi I like your theories and explanations about Clouxie. And I saw someone do incredible art works for them, I’m just not sure if you have seen those arts before since the artist use #douxaire & #clairxie tags mostly. It’s always good to see someone talk about these two anyway. Hope you have a good day!
Heyyyyy fellow Clouxie stan! This comes a little out of the blue because I haven't really posted Clouxie in a long time, but...thank you, I guess?? I'll check out the art!
And yes I still appreciate Clouxie very much! To me personally, they're a healthier relationship than Jlaire because I think it's important - and so much more enjoyable too! - to earn trust and platonic friendship in a slow-burn first, before going head-first into awkward romance.
The same is true for Ajim. See, I struggle to see the spark in couples that ultimately have different goals in life. Claire is a Wizard, an all-A's student and an actress, while Jim is a Warrior, super chaotic, and a chef. The things they truly have in common is that they're both headstrong and that family is important to them.
To me, Claire + Douxie being Wizards and Jim + Aja being Warriors immediately gives them more reason to spend time together and click with each other. They can have a deeper understanding of one another because they know what it takes to be this person and what it means to answer their call. There's less explaining to do and more intuitive, mutual "knowing" of the other person.
Alternatively, I like to ship Douxie with a Gwen Stacy (ITSV)-like Zoe. He deserves a softer girl than the cynical, sarcastic one we were given canonically in the show. He deserves someone who is sincere about his emotional expression, which is such a huge part of him. It needs to be nurtured, shared, and externally managed sometimes, but not insensitively shut down like I imagine Zoe would.
Idk why I went into such detail on this ask, thanks though haha! :)
You have a great day too!
Cheers
Reddie
EDIT: I'm getting the feeling that you're the op yourself trying to promote your own art, anon. Ignore me if this is not the case, and I apologize for my suspicion. If I'm right though, I would like you to know that asking people to look at your art this way is entirely unnecessary, since people can be talked to normally. I'll bite. But I would like to reassure you that people are kinder than you think. You can speak openly in the ToA fandom, we are very healthy as of late.
EDIT 2: Dude if you really seek to promote your Clouxie art, simply tagging stuff as 'Clouxie' instead of the other two would actually do the job, I think. Clouxie is, as far as I know, the most popular ship name of this pairing anyway.
