So I was waiting until I could get a good photos of my cats with @cloverkin 's work, but its hard to photograph black cats! So I'm just going to scream about her art now! LOOK AT IT!!!
We have Sabrina the princess paladin and Salem the annoyed archer! During the pandemic, Sabrina attended all of my sword fighting classes with me and Salem likes to evaluate things at a distance before interacting with them, so I thought these classes suited them best! Sabrina, bless her heart, has no thoughts going on in her head, while Salem is trying to keep everyone on schedule! He's such a smart cat and its like he can actually tell the time! They also have their favorite toys with them too!
It's hard to tell online, but the gold accents actually sparkle irl and its so pretty to look at!! I once saw Cloverkin's art online when these guys were kittens, but had since forgotten the name. But when I finally had the adult money to commission art of my pets, I went on a search for something similar to what I had once seen. Sabrina and Salem are not 16.5 years old, and not always in the greatest of health, but I was ecstatic when I found Cloverkin's art again! She has some really cool examples on her website and instagram for pets in armor!
And the packaging too! I was so happy to see it in the mail, but opening the envelope was an experience! It was wrapped in lovely green tissue paper with their names on a gold and black label! I kept the label and stuck to the frame I'm keeping the art in. It feels like a medieval painting and I know I'll treasure this commission for a long time!
The listed wait time for a pet in armor commission is about a year, and mine did take a little longer than that, but it was worth wait! Really, if you think you want something similar, order it now and then it will be a nice gift for your future self and fuzzy (or feathered or scaly) friend!!
