Honestly you antis are something else. Rhysand is NOT ABUSIVE. You read ACOMAF, yes? Tamlin never really cared for Feyre, he just used her to free him from his curse. And then he hurt Feyre over and over while claiming it was to “protect” her. Yeah, no. But Rhysand actually cares for Feyre. He only hurt her as a last resort, because he had to protect her and Velaris. And Rhys always takes time to consider her feelings, like in ACOSF he didn’t tell Feyre 1/2
2/2 because he wanted her to be happy. Rhys knew that telling Feyre she could die in childbirth would make her depressed. Rhysand has ALWAYS looked out for Feyre and her feelings, and he actually respects her as a person.
Let’s sort this out sentence by sentence.
Rhysand is NOT ABUSIVE.
He is though. He literally twisted feyre’s broken arm, drugged her, sexually assaulted her and was later excused for it - that should’ve warned you about the sort of person he is. and I will say this once: keeping medical information from a person is abuse, and yes it applies to pregnancy!!!
You read ACOMAF, yes? Tamlin never really cared for Feyre, he just used her to free him from his curse.
this is blatantly false though. I hate tam, but he did love feyre in book 1. like if you fail to realise that his character’s abusive nature literally came out of nowhere just like chaol’s characterisation was wrecked so that alien could have a romance with rowan, I don’t even know what to say. (keep in mind all of this is with respect to book 1, I do not condone tam’s treatment of feyre in book 2)
And then he hurt Feyre over and over while claiming it was to “protect” her.
the word you’re looking for is abuse, and yes I agree. literally never said otherwise. why are you dragging tam into a discussion about rice’s character anyway? is your standard of comparison that low?
But Rhysand actually cares for Feyre.
he’s literally her love interest in the books, istg, of course 70% of the rice content we get is legitimately about him being good and caring for feyre (or at least, the narrative trying to convince us that it’s the case). this doesn’t mean we can ignore the other 30%!!! him bargaining with mor’s abusers and being excused for it, his actions in book 1, keeping info about her pregnancy from her, slutshaming nesta and keeping info about her powers from her, failing to give feyre legitimate choices while claiming everything is her choice and really just convincing her to go along with all of his plans, making a suicide pact with a 22 year old, kinda stalking her when she was a human teen, etc.
He only hurt her as a last resort, because he had to protect her and Velaris.
idk what you’re talking about but if this is with reference to his actions under the mountain, please seek help. this sort of behaviour from a man is not okay!!! at the very least you have to agree that sarah made really disgusting plot choices and could’ve literally gone with anything else, but the problem with the s/jm fandom is that you guys refuse to accept that she’s a bad writer!! even after the shit-show that was acosf!!
And Rhys always takes time to consider her feelings, like in ACOSF he didn’t tell Feyre because he wanted her to be happy. Rhys knew that telling Feyre she could die in childbirth would make her depressed.
Again, please get help!!! that is not ‘consideration’. that. is. abuse. oh my god people literally think this is okay and are trying to rationalise it because they love s/jm’s book so much I -
sometimes I legitimately worry about the people reading these books...
Rhysand has ALWAYS looked out for Feyre and her feelings, and he actually respects her as a person.
child, respecting a person you supposedly love is the bare minimum
please don’t come back to my inbox with these horrible takes again
Whether they comment or not, 128 fans is 128 fans, and you should be grateful, not complaining and saying it's not enough. No matter how good your writing is, you're just some internet rando, no one special, and no one owes you anything. They CHOOSE to give you notes anyway, and you should appreciate every single one. Creating JUST for recognition/fame is kind of sad. gyst and stop blaming others for your lack of motivation to create. Or stop creating. Don't beg for notes, though, it's trashy.
Just like art creators. Begging for notes makes people roll their eyes when they see your posts/username. Let people do what they want (like/reblog/comment/share/etc.) and don't shame them for not doing what you want them to. Accept and adapt to the way the website is changing. Complaining isn't going to do anything but make you seem whiney. Appreciate your 128 notes! Some writers don't get any, and they keep writing because they love it. Cross-post if you NEED more recognition. Adapt or perish!
Oh sugar, does it upset you that much to see only one note on your posts? This entire message reads like someone who’s jealous they aren’t getting the attention they want nor deserve. And, isn’t that exactly why my post is true? That the community is dying, that creators thrive on that feedback and attention? I mean, surely it is, because otherwise you wouldn’t be sending hate to someone who’s trying to bring about positive change, unlike you, right? No one said the post was about me (I actually said that it was for my fellow writers who thrive on the feedback and recognition), so saying that I create content just for recognition and fame--or that I’m even begging for it--means you completely glossed over my message or the post entirely. Is your jealousy that unchecked? What’s even wrong with wanting to be seen or appreciated? Were you deprived of those things growing up? Is that why you’ve fallen this low?
And, even if you aren’t a disgruntled content creator, what good does discouraging creators do for you? Do you want less content? Do you want those creators to feel unhappy, unappreciated, unseen? Do you want to watch the creators you love slowly start to disappear? Do you want to have no one to share your excitement or thirst or ideas with? Do you want to be alone with all your hatred and jealousy? Because that’s what’ll happen at this rate. Your personality is so awful that I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re taking your anger out on me because of problems in your social life.
GYST and stop blaming others for your lack of decency, empathy, or critical thinking skills. Or better yet, just stop consuming content altogether. Don't shame those very writers whose content you consume, though--it's trashy.
Oh and thanks for your other ask. I’ll use it to block you after you read this. Get it through your head that the world doesn’t revolve around you, because the world sure as hell won’t wait for you to grow up. Adapt or perish! 🤗
Nonny, big NOPE. Nice try baiting me though. If you want your salt acknowledged, go post it in your own blog or send it in the inbox of someone who will appreciate it.
Lmao Nesta - just 20 year old rude sometimes? She's literally a bully
When. She made a fuss about chopping wood but she eventually did it. Book 1 was literally her *redemption* arc because she was the one who went to prythian to save feyre. Book 2 was perfectly fine because she had previously had a strained relationship with feyre and they were learning how to be kind to each other. In book 3 she was protective of elain because feyre was really insensitive and kept trying to violate their boundaries and expected them to be happy just because they were with the night court.
Besides you do not get to hold rice and cassiass to one standard of comparison and hold nesta to another standard. Nothing that nesta has done can remotely compare to what those creeps have done. (500 year old men. Digest it. 5 centuries is a really long time.)
Also, you're 18, so I get it. You're a high schooler or maybe just a college freshman. You aren't aware yet the amount of growth and experience a person can go through. Stief has grown so immensely in her portrayals of characters. She's taken criticisms and grown so significantly to become more inclusive and researched. She now regularly employs sensitive readers. If you really want to sit there and blatantly refuse to allow people to grow and change, well, that's some growing up you have to do.
No, actually, I'm very, very forgiving when it comes to people who're ready to change and apologise for their mistakes. There's a reason I don't make negative posts bout bardugo and susan dennard (although they are by no means perfect) and that's because they're very open to criticisms and apologise for bad representation in their books apart from improving on it with each subsequent book (as opposed to sarah j m/aas).
I have no idea whether she's actually done all the stuff you claim she's done but if that is the case, then I'm glad for her. That doesn't mean people should stop critiquing the misrepresentations that still exist in her other books or not express how it made them feel upset.
I am a JJ/Pope shipper but I notice how closed off the Jiara fandom is in terms of supporting each other. I've been watching Jiara week with great interest and I've noticed how a certain few well-known creators and writers are basically reblogged and liked to death, whilst the rest of you are left on the sidelines. All the well-known reblog and support only each other. So you all who are left out on the cold, come to the JJ/pope community were its more welcoming ❤❤❤
Jiara fandom doesn’t give me enough attention so I’m packing my bags 😔💔 freezing to death out here.
I'm sorry about this ask, but your post appeared in the jjpope tag. Just ignore this if you want. But it would be interesting to confront our point of views since we are from "opposite sides".
"no romantic jjpope set up": are we watching the same show? Taking the fall for your friend and being in 30k debt and smiling about it in your cell and then having a romantically coded reunion scene where you kiss him on the cheek isn't enough for you? What did JJ do for Kie again?
Actually, jiara is the one with no romantic set up, that's been confirmed by the writers and actors. So I really don't know why you're so confident that it will happen. Anyone with common sense would see that based on season 1, jjpope has a better chance of happening. The only way jiara is happening is if the writers changed their story to please the fans, that's a fact. I like to believe jjpope was and is still meant to happen. Plus Rudy already teased it right after S1 by saying "bromance? ship? who knows" and he also said that it was more cute than jiara. Added to the way he played those scenes, it's clear that he ships jjpope.
Lastly, it's a 4-5 seasons show, so I believe no ship is going to be clear at the end of season 2, because both of them would be slow burns. So maybe they wanted to hint at both just in case because they're not sure which direction to go yet.
So I’m sorry that my post appeared in the jjpope tag. Tumblr’s tagging system is broken, but I try to tag it with antijjpope so it can be blacklisted. I suggest you do that or block me if you don’t want to see it.
I’m frankly just not sure what the argument can be at this point. You think it’s romantically coded in S1, and I do not. I’m not going to change my mind no matter what you say and I assume you aren’t either so I don’t think there is much point to this ask. I’m not saying I don’t see why anyone would ship them. I think JD and Rudy have good chem and that jjpope is a cute relationship, but as of right now I do not think it’s been written or portrayed romantically. If you don’t think JJ would have taken the fall for any of the pogues in that scene if he thought it mattered to them as much as it mattered to Pope, then I’m sorry, but I think there’s a lack of understanding of JJ’s character at work. He’s selflessly loyal. That’s his thing.
You can’t bring up Rudy mentioning JJpope once or twice and ignore all of the times he talked about how he could see Jiara being endgame. That’s just deluding yourself.
To say that Jiara isn’t romantically coded at all is also ridiculous. I’m not saying I know for a fact they were planning Jiara endgame, but the “did you tell JJ” left implications whether they meant it or not. There is a jealous shot of JJ thrown in every time Kie touches one of the other boys. JJ is into Kie and that’s just canon.
They’re not going to “hint at both” because then that would be baiting a lgbt ship and making the relationships even more stupidly complicated than they already are.
I would make this longer, but to be honest I just woke up and like I said, pointless argument. I appreciate you not being raging and hateful, but there is no need to continue this argument so if you come back to my ask box I most likely will ignore it.
