honestly, she didn’t know what came over her. she just suddenly felt the need to do it. they were just sitting in the common room, talking. hermione had made ginny laugh and the bushy- haired girl had caught herself staring at the redhead. she was so pretty; the fire lighting up her features as the laughter fell from her lips. suddenly, hermione just felt the urge to lean over and kiss her.

so she did. it was a soft, hesitant and very gentle kiss, because the witch was unsure of how her friend would react. she let her eyes close briefly, savoring the moment but not letting it go on for too long. she pulled away, biting her lip slightly as she tried to figure out what the other was feeling. for a moment, she was tempted to apologize, but then she decided better of it, merely lowering her gaze.

Her eyes slid wider, the laugh abruptly stolen away in a surprised intake of breath at the touch of the brunette’s lips on her own. Before she had chance to register the sensation, however, Hermione was pulling back. The older girl was looking incredibly nervous, clearly starting to second-guess herself, and for a moment Ginny fought the urge to laugh.

How could Hermione know, after all, that this had been a secret fantasy of the redhead’s for a while?

She wasn’t sure it was strictly romantic desire; in her deepest heart, Ginny still found herself thinking of Harry as her eventual soulmate. But all the same, she definitely felt a strong something beyond the platonic towards the brunette.

Though unexpected, the kiss certainly hadn’t been unwelcome.

Ginny wasn’t often at a loss for words; even so, she spent a long moment regarding Hermione, digesting what had happened before actually giving voice to anything.

Character in general: Hermiones are always fun to follow because Hermione was my hero growing up okay.How they play them: From the threads I’ve seen you play her really well!! Which I appreciate like I said child hero right here lol.The Mun: Again we haven’t really talked or anything BUT LIKE I SAID ON THE LAST ONE I ASSUME YOU’RE REALLY COOL BECAUSE YEAH

a blush flitted across the brunette’s cheeks  at ginny’s request, but after a moment or  two, she slowly nodded, walking towards  the redhead. 

“sure, if…if you want…”

she felt somewhat shy, although she wasn’t sure why that was.

The redhead smiled softly as she slipped into her friend’s arms. Though it was hard for her to define exactly why, there was no denying that she’d always felt a particular sense of comfort around Hermione. After her first year had been over, the brunette had been the only person Ginny had felt able to confide in about the details of what she and Riddle had unwittingly shared.

Ever since, she’d never stopped regarding Hermione as a safe person.

She rested her head on Hermione’s shoulder, just drinking in the other girl’s presence for a moment. Her nearness was soothing.

There was an explanation to be offered for her sudden desire to cuddle; for now, however, Ginny held off voicing it. She didn’t want to sound needy.

my opinion on;

character in general: hermione granger is everything i wish i was irl tbh. smart af, brave, and doesn’t take shit from men like pls. also her hair is so big it’s full of secrets. she’s one of my favorite heroines and one of my favorite characters in the series too. i just can’t imagine a world where hermione granger doesn’t exist.how they play them: honestly char, i don’t know how you do it. you seem to have such a deep understanding of this character and you play her so flawlessly i mean you make it look so easy it just makes me want to take a peak inside your brain to know what goes on in there tbh??the mun: wHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN. this little cupcake came out of nowhere and started giving me feels like ten seconds after i started following her and she’s slowly becoming one of my closest friends on here and i love her so much ok she’s like the little sister i never had
