ugh now im thinking more about the murderbot show. still so disappointed in the choice to make it a white character. the books are VERY explicit about murderbot being a "generic human" & the evidence in the text points to a generic human being much like in our world - either east or south asian.

if your first thought about a "generic human" is that the person is white, then you seriously need to reexamine both the text of the books where most characters a non-white and also our real world where most people are non-white.

like ,,, im still going to give it a watch because murderbot has been a large part of my personality for years now & ive reread the books so many times, but i think casting a white person for this role was the wrong move & kind of unforgiveable.
