They finally would let him walk around without any help. He was still moving slowly but he was doing just that, moving. His cuts and bruises on his face had finally healed and he was starting to somewhat feel like himself again.

He hobbled along to his sister's room. It would just be them today. Anderson had something to do... Liam wasn't really listening when he said it.

He knocked on her room door to let Jayce know he was there. He didn't want to give her a start. "Hey there wonderful."

"Oh, he might have had some say in it. But I’ve called you worse in heated moments." She snickered softly. "I hear James calls you Scars."

Garrus is not surprised in the least. "Yeah, you have. And just like you said, James has called me scars but not scarface. For some reason the latter sounds almost...mean?" He shrugged.

There are only a handful of times when Liam shaves his beard off post-war. Mostly when Jayce and Jeff's kids ask their Uncle Liam to do so. For them he will, but only them. They come stay with him and Lucien during the summer when they start to get bigger. It's the only time Lucien sees Liam without the beard.
