GJGJBGB i admire the dedication to getting their names, you can just describe them it's ok

you must've dug pretty far back, i changed scarlet's name to grace a while ago! she was a pretty different character while under the name scarlet, i think before she was kind of an awkward antisocial girl with a friend crush on allen? which was a bit of a remnant of her even older counterpart, who had a full romantic crush on allen and was very stuck up and catty. miss grace here has undergone a lot of changes haha, she's probably been at least three completely different characters at this point. i was redesigning her the other day, coincidentally!

i'd say now grace appears very emotionless and cold, but she's got a soft side in there! somewhere. probably. she's very direct and takes little nonsense, which is unfortunate because zee has a big fat crush on her and is nothing but nonsense. out of the three you asked about, i think she appears the soonest!

the axe murderer umbreon is known as cinder (for now, at least. i'm considering changing their name). she's not actually an axe murderer but she looks like one. i was also redesigning them the other day:

he's definitely very good news and will do no harm at all. very harmless does not bite. not looking for anything at all in anyone's possession very friendly does not bite.

as for iris, she's off at boarding school at the time of the current events of the comic! summer school and all, yknow? gotta make up all those missed classes. she's VERY bored

What video games would the main eeveelutions like?

similar to the music ask, i’m not much of a gamer. i think as a blanket statement they would all play minecraft together, so that’s what this ask is mainly about now

STAR: he collects items and blocks he thinks are pretty and makes a nice house with it. he’s not the best at building but he’ll make it cute. would probably kickstart the minecraft roleplay storyline by building something objectively mid in quality but they would all agree was important. i think he’d also like dress to impress bfhfbfh

PEGGY: she has like ten million pets, including mobs that aren’t typically tamable. she’d enjoy exploring new areas for resources and caving the most. peggy yearns for the mines. other games she’d like are visual novels and dating simulators. she’s also probably really crazy about cookie run kingdom or something

ALLEN: keeps trying to put everyone into his gay and stupid mazes. he’s the server redstoner so he builds all the farms and everyone steals from him. he’d find all sorts of other games fun, i don’t think there’s a specific genre he’d like the most. probably got addicted to balatro or however that card game is spelled for a bit

ESS: the most focused on beating the game in the traditional sense (going to the end and killing the dragon and all that that precedes it). will try her hardest not to involve herself in the roleplay but will probably end up being sucked into it eventually. she’d also enjoy puzzle games but in a way where she hyperfocuses on it for like 5 hours and then goes “it was alright” and then doesn’t touch it for weeks

ATHENA: would enjoy playing the minigames more than main game, she would go crazy at bedwars and survival games i think. keeps stealing resources from her friends and is one of the more involved players in whatever roleplay was started. likes a round of smash or mario kart or something competitive with friends but otherwise doesn’t game

OLLIE: just wants to build a nice little house. doesn’t mind taking a bit to grind resources and has a lot of building materials (ripe for the stealing). go-to buddy for a caving mission and the like. other games he’d like are animal crossing and tomadachi life

LEAFY: also a builder, ends up having the best base. doesn’t like killing the mobs bc she feels bad about it but weirdly good at pvp. i feel like she’d enjoy a good narrative-driven game. idk anything about hollow knight but i think she’d like it

ZEE: tries to build a huge mansion but would forget to light it up so he’s always fighting mobs left and right. he likes playing in creative mode more. very fond of tnt. would be The toxic gamer in online pvp games. probably making a fool of himself in some mobile game forum

An ask from one of my friends who does not have tumblr:

“Would any of the main cast read fanfics?”

oh there's a lot of fanficcing happening in a lot of their open tabs fs GKBJGBJK. i'd say the ones who haven't engaged with much written fancontent are ess, zee, and maybe leafy. ess isn't really a fandom person and prefers reading actual novels and i don't think zee likes reading that much, much less the "cringe" kind of reading (he's probably under the impression that it's all mischaracterized smut or something). leafy doesn't really strike me as a fandom person either but i can see her reading one or two out of curiosity. athena hatereads all the bad ones but occasionally will accidentally find a good one and get invested

i think star’s pretty casual in his consumption of it. he’d watch/read something else and go hm could be a little gayer and find a couple to his satisfaction and leave it at that. could probably quote a good section of my immortal

peggy is out fanficcing them all bc she also writes it, she's mildly popular in whatever fandom she's in but her prose is like. ok. my girl is probably not sentence breaking often enough or using enough commas i'll be real. gravitates more towards fluff and light-hearted shorter fics but will read any flavour of fanfiction under the sun if it interests her. weird grammar and all lowercase fics do not bother her in the slightest. her tag filter list is nonexistant. the entire ao3 catalogue is her oyster

ollie is probably the 2nd biggest reader of fanfic out of them and if you ask him what his preferences are he will helpfully respond by shrugging and avoiding eye contact more than usual (which is impressive considering he does that all the time). likes the longer and more narrative-driven ones that feel like you're reading an actual book. has never written a comment before in his life

allen is very miffed at the amount of explicit fics there are. stop making them bone! where is the plot!!! ten million filter tags for this guy. once i was reading fanfic for this one fandom and there was a comment regular that was complimenting fics fully in the character of that guy from high school musical and i think he’d do something like that

what are some of your favorite character dynamics within the cast?

oh what a treat of an ask to receive i love talking about my characters in relation to my other characters.

athena and zee: they're so funny to me. a real "what is this feeling?" moment except there's no hidden gay denial they just really actually hate each other. the monkey and the lion except they're both the lion thinking they're the monkey. if literally anyone else saved zee from the river i think he'd eventually have gotten over it, because all the others would probably be a lot more apologetic for hitting him on accident and his anger/embarrassment wouldn't have as much to bounce off of, but athena's too proud to back down from anything and there's no way in hell zee's letting up either so now they're just enemies for life.

ollie and zee: i don't want to say too much about them because you're going to see it real soon over the next few pages, but it's like. completely the opposite of zee's dynamic with athena. ollie's a wet noodle of a boy so he just kind of has to go along with zee's bullshit

honorable mention of peggy and zee i think it's kind of funny how bad peggy wants to be friends with this guy. oh a flareon who threw himself into a river for the love of the game? he's crazy. i need to be his friend. he actually fills out the last eevee slot in our gang so this has to be destiny right. we've gotta be friends. we WILL be friends

(a lot of these are with zee GJBGJ. i think it's bc they've all known each other for a while so zee, being the newcomer, instantly has more interesting interactions with them, especially since he kind of doesn't like them all that much at first)

ess and star: they're going to seem really normal initially. but do not be fooled. ess is taking one look at star and going "i can fix him" and there is legitimately nothing to fix so like girl what are you doing here

of course these are only within the main cast and will be subject to change as i write more but these are the ones i've had the most fun writing so far!
