It’s a horrific practice, and it isn’t isolated to the Philippines. It’s illegal through most of Europe and the US, but it definitely still happens, and it’s not enforced even nearly enough. The sentences for those few who are convicted is also a joke compared to those convicted of dog fighting, which just shows how little we value other animals.
