Happy weekend! Here’s a recipe for a great Christmas cocktail courtesy of @fearrington_village’s Watson Fitts of Fearrington House. The name is Babbo Natale (Santa Claus in Italian) due to the Cynar in the drink. 3/4 oz Hennessey 1/4 oz. Chambord 1/3 oz. Cynar 2/3 oz. Verjus Rouge 1/16 oz. (2 dashes) Allspice Bitters 1 1/2 oz. Brut Champagne Whiskey-reconstituted Cranberries (garnish) Rosemary end-cutting (garnish) Yields one delicious cocktail Combine all liquid ingredients other than champagne in a shaking tin and shake until cold. Double strain through fine sieve into a coupe glass. Top with champagne, and stir loosely to mix in glass. Garnish with a rosemary cutting between two soaked cranberries; serve. A great lightly effervescent cocktail with seasonal ingredients that works well as an aperitif cocktail. The hue is reminiscent of the holiday season, with the garnish adding that "under the mistletoe" vibe. "Babo Natale" means Father Christmas in Italian, which was picked as a name mainly because of how cool it sounds. - Watson #weekendcheers #christmascocktail #babbonatale #fearringtonhouse #cocktailmaestro #scoutedweekend (at The Fearrington House Restaurant) https://www.instagram.com/p/CIrZv94H3Vi/?igshid=k1oye4jgffkj
