SHANNON AND THE CLAMS LIVE AT THE HOTEL PALMS!
I FINALLY got to see Shannon and The Clams LIVE! KiM! & I went to The Hotel Palms up in Jacksonville, Florida and had a TOTAL BLAST! A real beautiful atmosphere hidden in residential Jacksonville, if you happen to stop by there say HEY to the good folks at Hotel Palms! I met a few, and had an awesome time - shout out to Tanner (WHADDUP DUDE), Jamie (Did I spell that right?), Ryan (the dude takin’ photos on the roof with a sweet camera lens), Ashley & Ti (or Tee? Or Tea? WHATEVER YOU KNOW) sellin’ vintage duds, Richard Borders with his excellent original Pink Floyd tshirt (huminahuminahumina), The King of Orlando (uhhh dude I’m totally blankin’ on your name so that’s your official title now hahaha - the dude on Mills!), Zack (The Pisces), Jean (spelling right?), Theresa (Cody’s cousin), and Erica who sold me my sweet’n’swanky Shannon swag. Totally met a lot of really cool and awesome people at that show - was one of my personal favorites (and I’ve been to a lot....like..a lot a lot).. It’s been a really long time since I’ve actually been out to a show, but KiM! & I actually have a good amount of footage we haven’t posted up (throughout the years). So, I think I’m gonna post that footage in the future - so we can just give the love where it belongs (and totally for free as promotion for those super-fuckin’-rad bands out there that are totally workin’ hard for that money).
Either way - the show was incredible - openers were TOTALLY solid - The Sh-Booms and The Mother Gooses were legit and had me groovin’. By the time Shannon and The Clams had come on I was already completely stoked - I had been waiting 3 years to see this band (as they have become my favorite band in that time). Shannon and The Clams is everything that rock ‘n’ roll should be - loud, beautiful, quirky, weird, crazy, stylish, and FUN!
SO stoked to have experienced their music live! Finally got to sing along to these wonderful people and their tunes - and more-than-likely embarrass the heck outta myself dancin’ to their tunes (HahaHaHaHA!) - hey ya only live once so why not go for it? That’s how I roll, dudes.
I’ve always believed Shannon and The Clams to be wildly otherworldly - and I truly enjoy their unique energy & sound (along with their genuinely awesome personalities). It was an absolute dream come true to see this band live (AND meet them) - and although it was not pre-meditated or planned out - KiM! & I just kinda decided last second to record some moments here and there during the show. So, voila! Enjoy!
