Breathtaking light, exotic coffees - the Aviary May Coffee Potluck
The Aviary is a jaw-droping-ly gorgeous co-work space where designers & architects congregate. They create an approachable space for the discourse of design and how we encounter it.
Coffee Potlucks exist to create discourse about approaching and learning about specialty coffee in Vancouver and bring community together.
We came, we conquered, we tasted.
Who's Coffee Potluck for?
If you’ve never ‘tasted’ coffee formally before or you're curious about what the fuss is all about, honestly this is for you. It’s a great way to see what the difference is between coffee and …. well, coffee. Not convinced? - just ask me.
For industry, it’s a way for people to come together in a relaxed space for conversation and taste coffees that might pass us by in the city had we not met together. There is strength in numbers!
For roasters, this is your chance to showcase your newest crop and exciting projects!
This month we tried a new format.
Instead of cupping, Espro brought the patented double micro-filter french press (or cafetiere) to brew a super clean coffee that we tasted in our own personal cups. We mingled, drank coffee and shared ideas.
Here are the some of the coffees we brewed.
MAY 2016 COFFEE ROSTER - see also CafeYVR's post on the coffees

Apologies if we didn’t get a chance to get to your coffee this month, we had 4 brewers which limited the number of brews we could do.
