It’s time for some local pride as we tune into this fresh one from San Francisco’s Cold Beats, whose name reveals some of the icy, chilly sound they bring to our ears on new single Cracks. Edgy, dark, and magnificent, the quartet’s latest has certainly made me a fan. Post punk, noise rock, and coldgaze build on each other, piercing jaggedly with a frenetic urgency through my eager heart. The tumultuous song has my blood pumping in gothy delight. Cracks is from Cold Beats’ sophomore full length, Into The Air, scheduled for release come September 4th on Crime On The Moon.
