Toothless zooms around the corner to come to a skidding landing at Kaon-friend’s feet, chirring and burbling joyously. Friend is back - and brings a new friend too?!

What is the biggest headcanon deviation from the canon material that you have incorporated into the way you write your muse? Why did you come up with it?

Drift isn’t given a whole lot of background information, so it’s pretty easy to write him without it interfering with canonical material. If I had to say something though, I suppose it would be Drift having a different face? Though that’s hardly a canon deviation since it’s canonical that Cybertronians looked different before coming to Earth.

But I like to imagine that Drift has a ‘real’ face under his mask because Tyran Decepticons look nothing like Autobots, and imagining Drift running around as a Decepticon while still looking like a human samurai is just… it doesn’t work for me. There has to be a reason he looks so uncannily human, and I figured it may as well be him compensating for looking like a Con.

"My dear little one, are you all right? Have you fed?"

Skittering over the floor takes too long; Toothless lifts off and zooms to Kaon-friend, trilling the whole way to alert him of its approach. While well-fed and content in its own right, the scraplet worries about the mech who took it in. He seems stressed, lately.

Toothless tilts its helm, considering that for a moment. The scraplet doesn’t have much information on sharing of sparks, but from what it’s heard of sparks themselves they are Very Important for warm-metals. Then it reaches for the cable to connect to its modified datapad and plugs itself in.

[ If Kaon-friend happy, Toothless is happy. ]   It gives a soft purr to back up the datapad’s flat-toned “speech.”

Toothless gives Kaon-friend a tentatively cheerful trill, though to be honest BigVoiceTank makes the scraplet a little nervous. It’s not even sure why.
