The day of my first concert: All Time Low on The Dirty Work tour in Austin, TX. The day I met Sam Miller of Paradise Fears. Basically, the first day of the rest of my life.
Paradise Fears made me interested in music. Sam inspired me to start writing songs and encouraged me along the way. Michael actually recorded and produced my debut EP. Cole gave me my love for a good Canadian tuxedo. I’ve had a good memory with every member of this band and they have been such an incredibly important part of my life. Their music gave me the strength and support I needed to keep myself alive so many times.
And now, 10 years (and 29 days?) later, I am living in the very city that gave me the gift of music in the first place, and pretty soon I’ll finally able to play live music again to pursue my dreams, and.. wow, is this what happy feels like? It all started because of PF and I couldn’t be more thankful for them and all the Turtle friends I’ve made along the way.
I love this family so much, even though it’s less active now. And if any of y’all are in Austin, PLEASE hit me up! I’m vaccinated now and ya girl needs some friends!
