valentina knows it’s bad that she doesn’t know her new bouncer’s name but in her defense, he’s always the first one to leave the strip club after closing. not once did he stay to attend the small gatherings she frequently organized to improve the morale of her employees. not once did he greet her when they crossed paths in the hallways. tonight she hoped to change that and she was insistent on making him stay. she was smoking a cigarette right outside the employees’ entrance at the back of the club, enjoying the breeze caused by the wind. valentina always notices everything, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that she exactly knew when his shift ended and whether he left through the front or the back. “are you leaving already?” she started off, mostly to capture his attention because he had either chosen to ignore her existence or not seen her at all. “didn’t the other guys tell you we’re having a little get together after closing? we’re ordering pizzas.” / @collcgiates
