MARKET RESEARCH:COLLECTION INSPIRATION
I work for an interior design company called http://www.poppiinteriors. We are stockists for companies such as Sanderon, Clarke and Clarke and Blendworth. At the start of this project , we had a rep for Scion visit our store and we got this book to start our stocklist with them. I was so inspired by the lines and colours as this is the style of work that i tend to draw in.
I love looking at line within an object and simplifying the subject matter into beautiful , considered marks. This has been my focus throughout my drawing in this project.
The colours and dynamics of this collection are something that i feel our group should consider , its simplicity and purpose of interior use have focused the designs for this collection . I also am inspired by the variation of technique.From flat prints to machine stitched embroidery. These 2 processes cover all of our own textile processes.
CONSIDER: 1. simplicity within the collection (a couple of pure texture pieces) 2. playing to our strengths (mixing textiles processes) 3. consistency of use of colour- clear colour palette
